Honestly there why do people hate the idea of religion Solange. you're not hurting other people with your religion I don't see the issue
@CrazyManInaBox, I’d be down for a Solange religion. She’s got a good voice.
@CrazyManInaBox, because some people don't like the idea that they might be wrong about stuff. That goes both ways.
@CrazyManInaBox, Because it can, has, and continues to hurt tons of people.
There’s also the fact that (at least the Abrahamic religions) are contrary to tons of evidence.
I don’t hate religious people anymore. Im not an edgy teen anymore so I realize that people can be shjtty regardless whether they believe in god or not (its just that shjtty religious people do tend to use god as an excuse to be shjtty), but I do think religion is dumb. The first 2 things I said were always my reasons, so I assume they’re other people reason as well, but I could be wrong.
@Weird Porn Stash, people like to have war it's just easier say "God is telling us to take this land!" Rather than "Our king wants to control this territory!"
@Weird Porn Stash, It’s a useful resource. When working as a caseworker for the homeless, most of the available local clothing and food pantries, and overnight shelters we referred clients to were run by religious organizations and a strong source of social support for some people. There would be even more gaps in services without these organizations than there already is
@Thatbright, actually it was more like “these bastards keep attacking our traders and ships let’s pray we’re in the right and whip them like the dogs they are”
Not just dead, completely insane after crying over a horse in the streets of venice. Really tragic.
Everyone died. The end.
Everybody quotes that out of context. The entire quote means something completely different.
@A Deformed Penis, well god can’t be dead that would imply that he was ever alive
@A Deformed Penis, for those who may not know:
the actual quote is in reference to the Age of Enlightenment removing god as the center of western civilization and the potential for the collapse of morals without religion to guide them- whereas it is often misquoted as “the Christian god was once alive and has now died”
@ajr12100, and they were right. Now we have telletubby porn and people too lazy to cook they want takeaways, but are too lazy to takeaway so they get a guy on a pushbike to deliver it for them. Keeping people simple and threatening them with an all seeing being kept the masses meaker, that's for sure (all of this is a joke, but kind of true too)
@ajr12100, If I remember correctly, wasn't the quote "god is dead and we have killed him"?
