I never understood why people would say things like I wish “I had a guy just like you” like I’ve had the line “I wish I had met you sooner” when hanging out with a girl whom I obviously liked. She was in a relationship that was in a rough patch at the time and I wasn’t really subtle with my crushing on her. I find that perfectly acceptable. But if you’re saying I wish I had a guy/girl like you when you’re both single then why not give it a shot you idiots?
What about the extra confusing situation of a gay friend who says “I wish I had a guy like you” but in this context you’re actually a girl...or is that just less messed up than the picture situation?
