That’s when you “accidentally” leave the oven on
@Rowsdower, Why not "accidentaly" build a pipe bomb?
@The Flame War, well you see... the Fire Marshall has an eye for that type of thing
@Rowsdower, or "accidentally" spill fast-form cement down all the toilets
@Rowsdower, probably do them a favor by letting them collect the insurance
*Has spotless apartment aside from one tiny black shoe scuff near door*
Landlord: Yeah, that’s gonna take a whole crew to come in here and rework the place, fresh paint and all, that sort of stuff.
Tenant: Oh okay, so how much of my $1250 deposit do I get back?
Landlord: Get back? Hmm, you drive a hard bargain bud. Buuut, after expenses for a crew, refurbishing your apartment, I’m sure we can scrape together a hundred or two for you.
Tenant: Wow, you’re so kind Larry! Thanks!
Landlord: Yeah, no problem dipshj- I mean Dipper! Just let me know if you need anything else bud, just clear out by the end of the month!
Fun fact: Deposits need to he kept on a separate account that the landlords dont have direct access to. Also, you should recieve a check each year for interest earned on the deposited. If not, then you can sue for damages because of a landlord's negligence and mishandling of your money....at least in Massachusetts this is true
See I just charge my tenants one month’s rent for their deposit so that way they don’t have to pay their last month’s rent and I keep the deposit. Makes it easier when they move out.
@Russel Wilson, until they wreck the place on the way out
