Bob Ross became the way he was because he never wanted to yell at and break down people again.
@Imaginaut, this is true he was a drill sergeant and when he left the army he said he never wanted to yell at people again.
@AverageIdiot, he was a master sergeant in the Air Force in Alaska when he got out. Not sure if he was ever a drill sergeant or what ever the Air Force equivalent is.
I hear that. Gonna be a happy mofo whenever I'm away from the stress of the military lol
@Murderin Mike, I feel you! It feels so great on the other side. First thing you should do is immediately change your clocks to civilian style when you’re done.
Ahh yes. That sounds like a great thing to do. I'm thinking I'm gonna wake up on a cold rainy day at 5:30, look outside, remember that sweet DD214, and go back to bed. I cant wait for that day.
@Murderin Mike, if you’re American, 5:30 A.M.
You're very right.
@Imaginaut, he also apparently was missing part of a finger and started the show without his iconic fro and the only way the people he served with recognized him when he first went on with the fro was because of the missing finger
@Murderin Mike, it's nice at first and then I hated it, hated civi life and missed it so badly
Saw a trick or treater dressed as bob ross, and his sister was a painting. I have them extra candy for that.
