I hate updates. Instead of constantly tweaking the user interface I would much rather software developers just focus on releasing one stable version of the software that works. Then don't fvck with it.
@Tsaltydog, usually updates for security reasons... asshats want to exploit everything... linux(redhat) is pretty good with giving updates on software only when necessary...if your willing to learn linux
@BexarMinimum, I'll have to check that out. I used Linux in college. Particularly after the hard drive in my laptop died, I don't remember which version it was but I had a very lightweight linux on a flash drive that I would boot from until I got another hard drive.
When that damn deku keeps getting stronger/in your way
Windows forcefully updated with a corrupted download, I asked for a free windows copy on the forums and they showed me the part in the terms and conditions where it says an update can rend your PC useless and they won't pay or even give you another windows copy
Imagine explaining to someone fifty years ago that you could make 200k a year just sitting in front of a box all day.
I've honestly thought about getting a second computer that I would keep disconnected from the internet just to avoid this problem. Fixing hundreds of dollars worth of plug ins is such a goddamn pain
@slug111, my computer can’t get past 67% of a windows update right this very moment. Like is a windows update and windows is going full tard. Been two days now and I do not feel like dealing with it
@slug111, tf are you gonna do with a computer that doesn't access the internet? Play solitaire?
@Not him again, photo and video editing mostly, visual effects, writing
@slug111, yeah, good luck with that. No offense, but its not a learned trade. Have fun being some YouTube celebrity for like a month
@Not him again, I've been doing it for about ten years already for supplemental income, but thanks
@slug111, so what projects have you worked on that I may know of? And since you do it for supplemental income, what do you do for primary income?
@Not him again, I'm happy to go into it but are you just going to toss a bunch of negativity my way? Because if that's the case it's not worth it. We don't owe each other anything and have no reason to prove anything to one another.
I used to think updates got a bad rep, then I got a job in IT.
That's life's way of saying productivity is overrated and you should play video games today.
