My library actually has taken this to a new level. They have some books with a piece of paper taped over the cover that says something along the lines of “don’t judge a book by its cover. These covers are bad but the book is actually a great story about _____________.”
@LilyFlowar, That's fvcking stupid, unless the cover is just text or have the author's name taking up 2/3s of it. Cover art shouldn't be covered.
“Am i a joke to you?”
I agree. The covers of math books make it look fun.....math isn’t fun....
The covers I've seen for Great Gatsby, Farenheit 451, the Harry Potter series, and the Unfortunate Events series are gorgeous.
The illustration of Cossette on most versions of Les Miserables is the reason I got the book in the first place, I've been trying to replicate the style for like a decade.
This and “YOLO” are incompatible.
I saw a guy that was doing magic with his hands. Lights coming out and stuff. Looked damn good..... bible
But that’s literally why they have covers...if not you’d pick up a book thinking it’s nice book for your kids then BOOM! Kama Sutra
Can we judge it by the blurb? Or by our peers recommendation?
