Guys I'm heartbroken. My 4 year old pug died yesterday on Christmas day. He collapsed, did a little howl then was gone. He wasn't ill he just died, either heart attack or something on his brain the vets think. I'm devastated, my husband bought me him as a puppy when I was told I couldn't have kids and he was my baby boy. How do I get through this?
@Naughtyboob, Well, take comfort in the fact that you did nothing wrong and that it was not preventable
@Whale4Sale, and also that he probably did his best to make sure his last christmas was spent with you
@Naughtyboob, that's horrible to hear :( I know there's nothing that can replace him in your heart so just get through the grieving process in your own time. It might be awhile before you can accept another dog, but that may help. Just dont think of it as a "replacement" - but as a new fur baby to love
@Chicken0War, thank you. We also have his sister, I'm giving her lots of cuddles and we've decided to let her sleep in our room from now on, as they always cuddled together downstairs. She spent the night crying and looking for him last night and is very quiet today. I haven't stopped crying it hurts so much
@abelgray, he was having such a nice day we had been for a little walk and he had been playing fetch with me with his favourite toys just hours before there was nothing wrong with him at all he was so happy even seconds before!
@Naughtyboob, Know that you gave him the happiest life he ever could have wanted, you gave him all the love he needed
@Naughtyboob, by remembering you were his whole life, his whole world. He’ll be there waiting for you. And the first thing he’ll do is something really derpy to make you laugh.
@Cloverleaf, that sounds just like him lol x
@Naughtyboob, good Lord it's just a dog get over it. Sensitive people like you shouldn't be allowed to have kids...oh wait
@Naughtyboob, I hate to be the cold one but.. such is life. Just know you made it happy for as long as it could be happy. That's all you can do and you should be proud of that fact.
@Naughtyboob, my sincerest condolences, but thats how pugs are.
genetically bred so much they die at random for no apperent reason
@Naughtyboob, sorry to hear about that pal. I had a dog die shortly after Christmas a few years back as well. It can certainly put a damper on the mood.
@Deadkizz, and some just go weirdly. My aunt and uncle had one named Mr Sunderman. Blind in one eye, genetic defect, lost the good eye in a scrap, popped out. Still lives to be 14. Just the dumbest dog I’d ever seen. Yet they loved him.
@Naughtyboob, you still heartbroken? Because I just wanted to remind you that you won't ever have kids and your dog is dead and will never come back and your life is hollow and meaningless.
Henry cavills ass is amazing in the leather pants he wears
