I'm still of the opinion that if a console war continues to rage on, Nintendo will be the sole survivor. Even back when they were really competitive, they didn't really rely on the competition to get sales. People buy Nintendo because Nintendo makes good products, not because they believe the other guys make worse products.
@TheStarHawk, Yeah, just about all of every game Nintendo makes in house is a solid title, not nearly as full of glitches and bug's as many that show up on other platforms. Though if the recent Pokemon games and Metroid Prime 4 are anything to go by, I think Nintendo might need to be a bit stricter with the 3rd party devs they license IP's out to.
@Anonymous Jack III, eh, Metroid Prime 4 shows they care about quality control. Metroid Prime: Federation Force on the other hand... but I think the saddest of 3rd party developer news was that they let the company that made the Mario and Luigi RPG's go completely bankrupt.
@TheStarHawk, not to mention Nintendo was founded in 1889.
@CyrusBranford, as a hanafuda (trading card) company. They've technically always been in the "gaming" or at least fun business.
@TheStarHawk, true. I am mostly playstation, have friends with X box whatever it is these days, and own 2 of the switch.
But even with 1 paltry teraflop, the switch is a great system, if you buy the right games
@TheStarHawk, the new smash sucks though. Highly unbalanced characters and no in house online servers so theres horrible lag. Also they force you to play on the worst maps. Honestly would return the game if it wasn't still fun if I have 3 friends come over to play.
@Cousteau, it's okay to have an incorrect opinion.
@TheStarHawk, The console wars has always been stupid to me. No games should be exclusive to a certain platform. It just creates peoole like JtechTV who will literally die for a company that doesn't give a rats ass about them.
@TheStarHawk, please explain what's good about not having your own servers for your players and having to ban multiple characters from competition because of how unbalanced they are. Honestly they stripped the story mode and ruined the balance of characters. Samus is so nerfed shes unusable in competitive play now. If you want to play online it doesn't even let you choose maps and constantly repairs you with people that you left. Ever played the smallest map in the game with items and only big characters? Ya it's not a good game.
@TheStarHawk, well the switch saved Nintendo, one more misstep could’ve took them out
@TheStarHawk, in comes the Wii U with finger guns
@TheStarHawk, grab a pc, Xbox or ps4 and a switch and you'll be able to play 99% of games worth playing, and for the ps4 fanboys who love last of us then buy that, for the pc guys who love civ or starcraft then go with that, and Xbox if you like forza, but there will undoubtedly be something on the switch that you'll want to play or at the least will trump far and wide the other systems when it comes to local multiplayer, nobody else comes close without a lan
I'm that guy. I'll game on whatever so long as it has games I'm interested in.
Stadia users: I play on the air or something.
@Have An Upvote, ha, you think people actually play on Stadia.
@Have An Upvote, stadia users: "lag is lag!"
Gaming is gaming
Mobile 'gamers': *sitting in the corner eating paste*
People who have all of them: is this some sort of peasant joke I’m too rich to understand
I like that the companies play nice with each other more now though
I own A L L

As a PC master racer: Nintendo is cool. I don’t really buy their products, but there is care and artistry in them.
Mobile fans: *autistic screeching*
I love how manufacturers push conflict now while they all work to develop a viable streaming service. Hardware will all effectively be PC soon and the only unique thing will be the controller and service.
As long as it’s not mobile gaming.
