As a night owl who works nights, I get enough sleep. Anywhere from 5-10 hours.
@Anonymous Jack III, you must not have kids
@Anonymous Jack III, it’s noon as im typing this. i bet your fast asleep in bed
@Profiled Black Guy, Correct, and have no intention of having any anytime soon (nor do I have someone to have them with)
@Z0IDBERG, You are also correct
@Anonymous Jack III, that’s smart and sad at the same time.
@Profiled Black Guy, I used to work nights and loved it. Now I have kids, and I’d almost like to go back to a night job, but I know for a fact I’d get no sleep.
I don’t know any supervisors where I work that get more sleep than the general workers. Yeah, we may work 11 hours a day, but they all work at least 12 or more.
@wtninja, Is it a retail job? I think this is more about healthcare and similar round the clock, “essential” work.
@Berntley, I work in the auto industry. While it isn’t “essential” it is round the clock. Even on days when we’re not running assembly, somebody is still here working.
@wtninja, Yeah, not gonna pretend I know enough about that industry to comment on the dynamic of it.
@Berntley, that’s fair. Most of the people working in it hardly know enough about it.
As a Day shift (who is also a night owl) I can confirm the 4 hours sleep
7 hours is actually enough
@eleven, It varies by person. Some people 7 hours is good (like me) but others may need 10 while others are fine with 4. Just depends on how your brain is made
