You did it! You crazy son of a b!tch, you did it!
I did this in high school. I think it depends on the person because for me it was 965, give or take 10.
@The Puppet Man, I think I did it in about 300 licks way back in middle school, but my tongue was bleeding a bit afterward...
@The Puppet Man, I did it twice, it also varies depending on where you start. I got ~1300 and ~900
@The Puppet Man, this guy appears to have licked off all the candy though.
@The Puppet Man, it definitely depends on the person. It also depends on the lollipop itself, since there will always be slightly differences in size. Also, different flavors are slightly harder to lick and others. All this adds up.
@The Puppet Man, a college did a study on it once, knowing the variances of person, lollipop, and type of lick. The average is about 1,000. At Purdue they used a machine and it only took ~250 licks
@InsaneWolf, a licking machine? Sounds gross lol
“Mr. Owl. How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?”
“Let’s find out. Ah on-“
The world may never know
Inaccuracy do to human error? If we are gonna measure the radius of a lollipop by number of licks than to lick the entire lolipop # of licks should=
(# licks to get to center)x2. It does not! You need to apply the same force in every lick otherwise you taint your results. I am an engineer and this is important.
I tried but i would always cut my tongue to sh!t withing the first 100 licks.
Huh, friend of mine got there in something like 587. Another person I met years later indicated a similar number. Something like 630 or so. These are rookie numbers.
