Used to work at a gym where people would leave their dogs in the car while they worked out.
Discussed it with the local police and was told that if the temperature inside the car reached a certain level, I was legally protected in breaking their window. Point is I broke a lot of windows one summer.
I didn’t think people would be dumb enough to lock a dog in the car in a Texas summer but some are.
@shocking60, but how do you know the car temperature?
@shocking60, real question is... why not leave the dog at home while you go to the gym?
A better ending would be if he took that brick and beat the owner to death with it. Don’t lock your dogs in the car when it’s even warm people, it only takes a few minutes to heat up beyond normal, even if you think you’ll be quick.
@unknownhero42, no for his crimes he deserves to die slowly
@unknownhero42, of you need to leave them in the car, leaving it running with the air on. The'yre much more important than the bit of money you spend on the gas to do so
@unknownhero42, only time it's even kind of ok is when you'll be gone for literally like 5min, and even then I hit the remote starter as soon as I'm out.
@unknownhero42, Plot twist - the guy drives a Tesla and he actually left it in Dog Mode, so the air con was running and the pooch was fine. The guy with the brick was just a dog thief and murderer.
@unknownhero42, I’d rather get my head beat in by a brick than get locked in a sauna.
Only time I ever leave my dog in the car is when getting gas and even then I leave the windows open so he can say hi to everyone
Justice has been served
I rmemeber when I was a little kid, I lived in the mid-west of the United States. My mother took me to our local Walmart, and on the way in we saw this dog in the car, panting up a storm. It was 95 degrees, and my mother said "hopefully their owner will come back soon"
We spent 3 gours in that store. Mainly cause I was a tiny kid slowing my mother down a lot with my energy. However, when we got back out, that poor dog was still just sitting in that hot car. By then it was mid-day and you could see the heat raising off the parking lot.
Me mom got pised and called the cops, we waited till they got there. Right when the cops arrived the owner of the vehicle and dog walked out and she instantly starting yelling at my mother, who defended herself and yelled back, and the police had to restrain the angry lady, and I believe she gotten two tickets. One for the endangerment of the dog. The second for trying to assault my mother.
I agree with not leaving your dog in your car in hot weather or extend periods of time because it is dangerous for them but just because a dog is in a car doesn't mean the owner is irresponsible or bad or the dog is in danger. Lots of videos on YouTube of people breaking peoples car window to "save" the dog when it's cool weather with the windows down a bit with a water bowl to drink kind of deal.
Everybody likes that
My first readthrough pf the comic made me think he locked the guy in the sauna so that he would look good stealing his dog lol
