Me: I really think we would be perfect together, let's go out on a date.
My crush: *says her first words* "mama"
Me: I have to leave the daycare now don't I?
@Barry Dylan, just remember, the limit is 61!
Wait, that’s for something else. What was it again?... oh well. I’m sure it can be applied here just as well.
This legitimately happened to me.
yeah...on second thought, you'd probably bore me to death, you self-centered basic bitch
@Empshok, you OK there buddy?
@Fa7karious, yeah. I'm very grateful that I married my first girlfriend over 8 years ago. I'd have given up dating very quickly if I had to deal with repulsive girls who responded to me like that. I may not have great social skills, but anybody who would respond to an invitation with "ew" would be better off starting over their social development.
@Fa7karious, thank you for asking, by the way.
@Empshok, no problem, it just sounded like that hit home for some reason
@Fa7karious, I mean, a little, yeah. I feel like most of my childhood, being tolerated by others was the best I could hope for. A big part of that was my ADD and depression, but not having friends definitely interfered with social development. You nedd people who love you enough to tell you when you're being dumb or embarassing and suggest better ways to interact with others. That doesn't come naturally for me and I suspect that is the case for others, too.
