You’re the problem!
No you’re the problem!
@dogenstein, no u
@dogenstein, and I programmed you to believe that!
@Man with a Cat,
An intersting algorithm....
Give me liberty, or give me a .02% chance of death!
If you want to go to the beach, go to the beach. If you want to stay inside, stay inside. It's as simple as that
@Captain Magma, not if my name is Karen and only I want to go the beach and not others.
@Captain Magma, except it’s not. Covid 19 has killed 340000 people worldwide, that’s more than both atom bombs dropped in WW2. Going to the beach is the problem, as after the beach people go to the supermarket or fuel station and on and on. It’s a chain reaction. If I offered you a bag of 100 sweets 99 safe but 1 deadly you wouldn’t eat any ( down vote away ppl I don’t give a damn )
@Captain Magma, how dare you! You don’t realize how important it is to tell others how to live their life?
@dusty44, some people would take the risk some wouldn't and its your right to take that risk or not. You are your own person and can make you own judgment call on your own life. Stop trying to force everyone into your own view with fear mongering. I work in a hospital every day and see icu nurses not wearing masks thats the choice they wanna make they should be allowed.
@Wakeley, the people I then infect through my negligence don’t get a choice.
@dusty44, you ever heard of washing your hands? Wash your hands and stay out of contact with people of you're that worried.
@Wakeley, risk isn’t what it’s about. Example: you choose not to wear the mask, go to the beach and get infected. However you don’t exhibit any signs so you go about your normal business. Your risk. I get that. The problem is then you go right out to the grocery store, sneeze or cough and spray that sh!t all over. Now a 90 year old lady who has no choice but to go out and get food inhales a droplet of your virus in the air, goes home, gets sick and dies cause she can’t fight it off. Doesn’t that make you partially responsible for her death cause you were irresponsible about wearing a mask or avoiding public gatherings?
@HeyHeyMikaay, oh yeah I forgot everyone is a 4 year old and you can't cover your mouth when you cough and sneeze. Same effectiveness of wearing a mask. How many people do you think get the flu every year and before showing signs go out around and infect people. We aren't out here freaking out every flu season.
@HeyHeyMikaay, also the number of reported covid deaths are extremely skewed. If a patient does with a single symptom of covid they report it as a covid death with or without tests. Good luck dying without any of those symptoms
@Wakeley, if you think washing your hands alone can stop a virus then good luck. The worst part about this entire virus is it killing the weakest in society and not the morons who miss Starbucks. When I choose to stay at home and shelter it’s not for me, it’s for the elderly, the young, the people with cancer or HIV who can’t fight it off. You wouldn’t understand though as the last person you lent a helping hand to was yourself ya w@nker.
@dusty44, lol you're honestly joking right? Washing your hands doesn't kill the virus? Hand sanitizer kills the virus you mongoloid. and estimates from WHO for flu deaths yearly range from 290k-650k worldwide. So why don't you just stay inside forever. Again stop trying to act like you're taking the moral high ground and try to pressure people into believing what you apparently believe by saying stuff like "thats more than both atom bombs dropped in ww2"
@Wakeley, you know that for sure though? Look, honestly there isn’t enough data out there regarding a six month old virus to get the full picture. That being said the simplest way to keep people safe is to avoid contact and do what is in your power to help, like wearing a mask in public places. If you’re with your family or outside by yourself you don’t have to worry, but as soon as you get around others you need to use caution and protect yourself and others.
@HeyHeyMikaay, sure about soap killing a virus? Yes lol it been confirmed that both kill covid. This is the problem people don't do any research for themselves and then they over react. My point is that if you are worried about people dying from this then just dont have any human contact ever again. Like I said above the flu kills just as much if not significantly more each year than covid does. What you do is your choice dont try to force others into believing the same misinformation that you do
@Wakeley, I was referring to your comment related to the skewed death numbers. I agree with you there cause those numbers may be higher than realty, but we just don’t know for sure yet. And I’m not worried about me and my family because I am doing my part to keep them safe. But some people don’t have that choice, bro. They have to go out and get their medicine, have to go get their groceries. They put themselves at risk every time they open their door. When people don’t all work together to keep each other safe it’s the ones who are already at risk who suffer.
@Wakeley, I never said washing hands doesn’t kill it. I said washing alone isn’t a pure solution. You said yourself that you work with ICU nurses that choose not to wear masks. Allow me to paint you a picture, I’m infected with C19 and I sneeze in your face. Do you think washing your hands will save you? Yes seasonal flu does kill 300k + a year and that is with all the immunity we have built up against it. Years and years of research,flu jabs to help stave off the infection yet it still takes 300k+. Now maybe you see why this completely new virus that has taken over 300k in less than 6 months to which we have zero defence and zero inoculations is such a risk.
@HeyHeyMikaay, it's pretty much been proven. Hospitals are being given money for reporting covid deaths for research and with most hospitals still not doing elective cases they arent getting nearly the amount of money they were before all this so, somone had shortness of breath when they died? Yeah covid case because we need the money. I'm not saying I'm not taking precautions like I said i work in a hospital I wear a mask all day and am constantly using hand sanitizer and washing my hands. I come into contact with all the equipment in the hospital so I make sure I wear gloves before I work on it and remove those gloves when I move on to the next thing. But to say that you have to wear a mask in any public place is just ridiculous and in many states illegal (concealing identity in public places) like I said wash your hands don't touch your face. Wearing a mask ist going to stop you from touching your face when you go in your car and take it off.
@dusty44, you know the flu is a different virus almost every year right? Thats the reason it kills so many people and like I said before I guess you're a 4 year old because you can't cover your face when you caugh or sneeze. Thats something you should work on bud
@dusty44, and also if I was wearing a n95 mask and you sneezed in my face I'd probably still get the virus seeing as how the virus is still a smaller particle than what the mask can filter
@dusty44, Stop comparing virus deaths to wars to try to scare people. You know what else causes more deaths than those bombs? The flu. Death counts from wars and diseases are not comparable and only exist to scare people. Coronavirus deaths are also over counted since anyone who might have had Covid when they died gets counted as a death. Some things I've seen say that death counts could be inflated by 25%. The stuff you're doing only serves to scare the public into an economic depression.
And you guys should also try to project deaths based on an economic downturn that we're facing.
@Wakeley, I guess if we all go to the fvcking beach then it would be a bad idea as we may spread the virus? Fvck me your IQ is measured in crayons.
@Captain Magma, thanks for the tldr of my comments lol
@dusty44, you do realize if you are asymptomatic you have an extremely low chance of spreading the virus and yeah go to the beach stay away from other people if you're that concerned and the fact that you keep trying to insult me shows that you do not know what you're talking about and have done zero research so I think were done here. Have a good day my guy ✌
@Wakeley, I’m not your guy buddy! s
@dusty44, true. Look for real im not trying to be an ass i just believe everyone has the right to make whatever choice they seem fit for themselves and that everyone should just maintain basic hygiene its how most everything is stopped from being spread in hospitals its not any different for this and with media and everyone else trying to make everyone scared it just makes it worse.
@Wakeley, I’m not trying to either, stay safe.
@Captain Magma, being outside in the sun and fresh air is the best place you can be
@dusty44, if you are young and healthy it's more like 1 in 5000 pieces of candy
@Wakeley, ok, so normally I just pass comments by, but speaking as an EMT I can tell you that washing your hands effectively works just as well as hand sanitizer. The key to this is the full 20 seconds and all around the hand and under the nails washing.
@mrGrizzIes, yeah. Proper hygiene makes a huge difference and people just clearly do not understand that.
@dusty44, the flu has killed far more people than that yet we never quarantine for it. I say if you want to go out go out, and if you don’t want to go out, then don’t and don’t associate yourself with people that do go out. It’s that simple.
@dusty44, the sad part is all the people believing the propaganda that the data isn’t accurate. The numbers are probably way higher
@SchroedingerPussPuss, well our predictions were way more deadly then it ended up being, around 10x-15x. Not that it's like the flu, but it's closer then people initially thought. My point is it's hypocritical to care now when noone gave a sh1t about the flu killing half a million people a year normally, but now there up an arms about this one, even though the lockdown will kill wayyy more people from a pseudo depression era on our economy (starvation alone in third world countrys) then lives saved from overfilled hospitals.
@Captain Magma Those that do go to the beach should at least acknowledge that they would rather increase the mortality rate in their local county, maybe even of their own loved ones to catch sick waves
@RomeoStealYoGurl, the data isn’t there to fully make a decision about whether it’s worse than the flu or not. Unfortunately, the stats need to be analyzed but the pubic and politicians want information NOW. We won’t get true true data until another two years from now. But to believe a politician before a statistician where the problem lies. They manipulate the little data we have for their own cause.
@Wakeley, are they not wearing it by choice? Or because they are not allowed, or because they don't have any? I've seen plenty of interviews where nurses were told not to wear any, and they lost their job. I also seen interviews and pictures of nurses wearing trash bags as protection. Are people so mentally weak that they can't wear a mask? Are they using the argument of "ma fredooms" just because they are to lazy to have to remember carrying one? My husband is immuno compromised, the stress of knowing that any asshole throwing a hissy fit cause he's too inconvenienced pisses me off. He's going back to work on Tuesday, we are seriously scare.
@mayora13, by choice. Where I work we have had roughly 20 cases in facility that I've been aware of they provide everyone with masks when entering the facility. And like was stated above just make sure to wash your hands and being compromised wear a mask.
@RomeoStealYoGurl, what so many people ironically fail to understand while they're bjtching about physical distancing and being formally ordered to stay home and how businesses are mostly shut down, etc., etc., is that those very thing they're bjtching about have already saved lives.
Yes, the annual flu kill a lot of people worldwide, year round. Yes, it can mutate too. No, we don't quarantine for the flu. So the flu has almost 8 billion people that it can infect and try to kill and 12 months to do it in and people aren't going to be afraid of it.
CoVID19 has killed almost 100,000 in 5 months (Feb-May) just in the US. Usually our flu death count is ~12-60k in a full 12 months.
So, if we socially treated CoVID19 like we do the flu, which we generally have vaccines for, and did not shut down and stay home and had continued to spread the virus for the last few months, how bad of shape would we be in right now? Seeing as the number of new cases/day in many places were still rising until..
@mas2de, ... just recently, and most people weren't flying around transferring it from city to city as much, our number would have continued on that exponential climb. You know, the one that if you zoom in it looks flat until you realize how squashed that bottom of the graph is, and if you plotted it on anything other than a log chart, it eventually just looks like a vertical line.
So with all our PITA precautions, this virus has been more than 1.5x as deadly than the common flu. The numbers aren't all just hype and ThE MedIA FeaRMongeRinG. If we didn't have any vaccines for the flu, millions if not more would die from the flu year round and we would treat the flu much like we are this virus. Staying away from each other and wearing masks.
BTW, the 1918 pandemic was also a flu. 50 Million dead. 675,000 in the US. It's Not a normal flu. Don't treat it like one.
@mas2de, how many people would still be dead with or without the lockdown? How many people did it actually save, and whether it was worth it. These questions are most definitely not answerable right now, and won't be for a few years after we've gathered all the data from other countrys. You definitely don't know whether it was worth it, I mean the UN estimated 200million starving by the end of the year because of this enocomic freeze. I don't know the answer either, just mentioning another opinion other then the norm of lockdown is the way.
Speaking of beaches (unfortunately), R.I.P. Shad Gaspard of Cryme Tyme (and God of War body capturing), he died a true hero and father.
