Damn rich people throwing there money at worthless stuff to make people think they are incredible people, dumb! They should have took all that money, asked a bunch of other rich friends to pitch in as well, and donated all of it to different organizations and homeless shelters and to maybe help the people who have been out of jobs for 3 months! Whatever
@celtics313131, thank goodness for Tom Brady and Peyton putting that golf game together! They raised over $20 million for corona relief!! Actual smart people making smart decisions! Good on ya fellas!!
@celtics313131, not only that but providing sports entertainment which many of these people have been starving for
@celtics313131, and we all got to see Tom Brady suck at something
@celtics313131, Brady ripping his pants what gold
@celtics313131, rich people doing what the government arguably should be is a dangerous game, as history points out.
I appreciate the text still on the paper in the bottom pic
@Pvt BB Ghanoush, I was just about to comment that! Screw the debate about what to do with money. How about that attention to detail!
Alright so actual work story with extra gov money to my hospital I work. So the intended use of the money we got was either to invest in new employees, new/more equipment or simply increase wage or give a bonus to existing employees. Instead, the corporate level of the hospital pocketed it and myself and everyone I work with got a shiny pin in the mail that came with a note saying, "Thank you for being a hero."
It’s less than worthless, my boy!
Why doesn’t anyone ever post the full meme?
You know what I'd take as proper thanks? How bout suspend all payroll tax for essential workers for a year? Pretty ironic that a lot of US are still making less than the $600/week unemployment yet still have to support all the public checks.
@TheTrueCorreia, yeah dude it’s incredibly disheartening to have to work during this whole thing and make less than people who got unemployment. Trump has suggested cutting payroll taxes for workers but no one else will go for it.
I hear on the announcements where I work, "thank you and please be safe, we're all in this together" like 100 times a day
It’s just publicity. AKA an ad.
There's two different types of "essential workers"
Type 1) Essential essential: doctors, nurses, EMTs, firefighters, police officers, etc., the people who get showered with praise from all manner of celebrities
Type 2) Essential yet disposable. Retail, foodservice, and delivery people. Your life is meaningless, you exist simply to serve all the whiny a$$holes who think privileges and rights are the same thing. Die from Covid 19 or in a fire, there's ten more that can take your place, so don't even think about asking for a raise or extra benefits.
