"Alright children, who wants to work at the corner?"
whoa! Don’t show them your profession!
Trust me on this one
@seeUpee, Says the pizza delivery man
@DiSoNeGuY, want with extra sausage again? I will even upgrade you to the special Alfredo sauce free!
@DiSoNeGuY, "Freeze, youre under arrest for soliciting a minor"
"But i'm also a minor"
@DiSoNeGuY, in the words of the great Bert kreischer “ok lets go fvck some minors”
OSHA would have a field day.
@Hatori, if you think this is crazy, wait till you hear about the reality show where a bus full of children were dropped off in a gold rush era town in the middle of a desert with almost no adult supervision. It understandably only got one season.
@Your Waifu, Kid Nation?
I actually enjoyed that show. Then again, I was 14 at the time...
@Sexy Homunculus, trust me, if you watch it now it's a lot less kosher. For example, the bit where their first reward is a choice between a tv and an outhouse, implying they had no dedicated bathroom before that point.
@Hatori, don't you mean "JOSHA?"
The J is for junior in case you didn't get that.
@Hatori, They have a location in Dallas, so obviously OSHA is OK with it.
@Your Waifu, Jontron had a field day. Bless that glorious bastard.
We had something like that in the city I grew up in called enterprise village and it was used to teach 5th graders how to balance a check book, conduct bookkeeping, be a manager, etc. It was pretty neat when I was 11 actually.
Sounds like child labour with extra steps
This happens outside theme parks in some places I know
For the love of all things holy there better not be a red light district
Kid: *works a long, hard day, arrives at gift shop to spend earnings*
Worker: *takes a quarter of their money*
Kid: Hey! What was that for!?
Worker: Taxes for general upkeep of the park. Oh, and you'll want to keep most of that to pay your rental and insurance fees before you can leave.
So, wannado city?
@Squiddly Kiddly , that sh!t was my jam
@AzureSkyKnight, same, homie 😭
I absolutely loved going there as a kid! You could make your own pizza and some pastries. I heard they have "adult nights", where grownups can do all the same stuff while getting shjtfaced. I'll have to look into that if lockdown is ever over
@Lord Zargothrax, yes! The one I went to had a dominos pizza you could “work” at!
I'm totally under 14 right now!!!
Seriously 28 this week and that still sounds fun to me
Never knew "Kid Nation"
got a sequel/reboot.
I would have actually loved that as a kid. Honestly sad I never got to experience something like that.
I think my 5th grade class ended up going to a place like this. It was actually pretty neat.
There was on in Mexico City. Place kicks ass. I hated my job in construction. I couldnt leave until my shift ended but then I got to be a pilot because they had a plane replica inside the building. Freaking dope.
That's just child labor with extra steps
