At this level, you might as well just lay down the controller, and tell the opponent to let you know when the next round is. People who can pull off a 0 to KO combo are extremely talented, but usually feels like they suck any fun out of the game.
@Rathalos, I'm diamond 2 in brawlhalla (this game) and that's a literally inescapable combo if done right. The only chance you have is spam the dodge and jump buttons in the hopes they screw it up. The scythe, cannon, and rocket Lance all have 100-0 combos and it 100% sucks the fun out to get hit by one. Completely negates skill differences
@theshadosnipe, there should be a button that allows you to tech out of a combo if at some point you accumulate too much damage. It just becomes whomever gets hit first, at that point.
@Rathalos, at that level of play that's exactly it. If someone lands the initial combo hit you know there's almost no chance of survival. It just sucks because each of those little grabs and pulls he does in the video create a mini stun that lasts just long enough to infinitely combo if you know how
@theshadosnipe, how can there possibly be a competitive scene with combos to start and end a match? There definitely should be ways to avoid and escape that, rather than just get stunlocked into a death combo.
@Jipz, mostly because it's 3 stock matches, meaning even if you get hit it's only 1 life, and most REALLY good players know the exact ranges and angles for the initial strikes and do their best to stay away from them. Other then that they're just as useless as a bottom tier player if they get hit. Not to mention most pro players have enough competive spirit that they don't do 100-0 combos just to keep it fair. The really sad thing is there isn't even much room for punishment if they miss the initial blows. There's a literal half second recovery time on the scythe until they can try again, and a whooping 3/4 second on the cannon which is supposed to be in the "strong but slow" category
@theshadosnipe, ayyy I play some brawl too but I’m only gold lol. This looks like a custom map tho, not one used online. there are not many true combos on scythe, just need to be good at reads. Cannon is similar, but lance is kinda broken
@Yooster, Lance is honestly the easiest for me, but I'm also a trash unarmed main. I've played enough scythe I can hold my own, but I win maybe 1/10 fights against cannon. Luckily they aren't too common in my elo
My hubby just taught me MTG. we play mostly planeswalker decks as they are easiest for me to understand but i played a few rounds of commander too....ive beaten him a good 8/10 times and i genuinely dont know if hes being easy on me and helping me more with my deck than he needs to or if he really is a lil bítch. But all i know is at one point on commander last night i had 127 health and drew a Felidar Soverign card
@PunnyBaker, He probably has that one insane combo deck that is only vintage legal. He’s saving it for when you have a complete understanding of the game so that when he utterly destroys you with it, you know the extent of your destruction.
And then he’ll teach you how to play with it so you can return the favor!
@PunnyBaker, let me guess. Oloro, ageless Ascetic as your commander? Gives you two life every round just for having him?
@Rathalos, no that one was lyra dawnbringer and i just had a lot of lifelink cards in play
I want to get into this game, but I feel like it has too unbalance of gameplay...
