That's an issue with people not following the laws and gas stations not carding people like they are supposed to, that's not vaping's fault cigarettes have the exact same issue, but I dont use that gas station juul bullshįt, I use a real mod and go to an actual place that follows the rules and cards people

@Duranu, it is true that many forms of vaping are better for you than smoking, but here are the problems with vaping from my own personal experiences before I quit smoking and vaping altogether. Vaping is only better for your lungs than smoking IF you keep the temperature of your vape low. If you use hot vapes (such as juuls) they can be more than twice as destructive to your lungs when compared to cigarettes. Water is an amazing insulator, far better than air, so when you smoke cigs the air cools down pretty fast and doesn't do much heat damage to your lungs, whereas with vapes the water vapor keeps it very hot all the way down into your lungs not only burning the inside of your lungs and destroying the air pockets within, but it can also lead to highly increased risks of pneumonia. Also vapes usually contain far more nicotine per hit than a cigarette, this means that quitting real cigs is likely easier than quitting vaping because you aren't used to such a constant and big dosage.

@Duranu, at the end of the day, neither are healthy for you in the slightest and you should just quit altogether before you do truly permanent lung damage. My method of quitting was actually substituting all of my nicotine with weed instead, after 2 weeks I no longer had the urge to want a cigarette, and weed is non-addictive so that was easy to take down to a far reduced usage after the fact. I still smoke weed, but at least I know that it's not going to give me cancer or reduce my lifespan by 10+ years :)

@HELLUVA ENGINEER, propylene glycol and glycerin both have a specific heat less than half that of water, so it's not nearly as dangerous as inhaling water vapor. You are right though that people will use high wattages on their mods. This can cause the damage you mentioned, can burn a cotton wick, and burn some of the juice before it evaporates. But people do it anyway tho because more power = better. Also, while your argument that vapes are more addictive due to higher nicotine content is reasonable, I will challenge that belief. There is a lot of contradictory research on this topic, and it can be hard to filter out the papers funded by pro or anti vape campaigns. What I have seen from personal experience is that most people seem to have less of an urge to smoke, or they think about smoking less often. Take this with a grain of salt, but I think that this might be because with a cigarette, you pretty much have to smoke the whole thing at once.

@member berry, so while each hit is less nicotine, you have to take many or else you waste a cigarette. This means you have short periods of time over which your total nicotine dosage is very high. I would be inclined to believe that lower frequency and higher dosage would be more likely to lead to addiction. Imagine the difference between drinking small amounts of water often vs someone who drinks a days worth in one sitting. At the end of the day, the latter will be craving water, while the former will have been nicely hydrated the whole time.

@member berry, well so here's what I experienced, with a cigarette you go through the entire cigarette which I smoked lights so I got about 1.7 grams of nicotine per cig. So you would smoke the whole thing and then you'd start to feel the buzz. The juul pods have about twice the nicotine of a pack of cigarettes from what I understand, so when you take a single hit you're going to be basically getting the equivalent of smoking a whole cig. But many smokers don't get satisfaction from just the nicotine high, many people have an oral fixation with having something in their mouth for a period time that they can smoke. So many smokers won't think that one hit is just enough, many people instead will sit out there and take like 2 or 3 hits (equivalent to like 3 cigs) this builds up their tolerance for nicotine and increases the addiction because their dosage is higher whether they know it or not. Cigs are a clean way to measure intake, but vapes are far less accurate.

some of these are obviously fake, just cotton on a wire. There is no vortex movement. It is also yawing. 0-10. The guy in the grey hoodie and beard is also faking the vertical “tornado”, again no movement of the “vortex” And the vapor “farts” are anatomically impossible... coming from thr wrong location.
Used to smoke 2 packs a day for years, after switching to vaping 2-3 years ago my lungs feel 100 times better and I dont have smokers cough anymore. Say what you want, listen to the cigarette lobbyists if you have to, but vaping is by far the healthier nicotine choice, I can't do tricks though, wish I could lol
