Oh they are definitely not ok after 12 hours
@MrWonka, agreed. As a nurse, I take many mini mask breaks. You have to air out every so often. Wearing a mask sucks. I am fine wearing one and I completely understand the reasons and need, but it still sucks.
@Savdbygrace20, agreed. I'm in warehousing, physical labor for 12 hour shifts, and masks stuck donkeys sweaty nuts, but is better than a ventilator
@MrWonka, then how tf do they still do their jobs? A$$wipe
@Chifilo, through sheer will and why the fvck are you calling someone an asswipe, dickhead?
@Chifilo, this person was saying they can be uncomfortable if worn for a long time and it’s a relief to take it off. Someone even points out how it’s something they have to deal with and they agree. What’s with the aggression?
@MrWonka, I cough a bunch of phlegm after wearing a mask for 8 hours at works. It’s a pain in the bum!
@WiiMessi, ouch. Is it the mask causing you that phlegm? That really sucks, man
@Chifilo, well they do their jobs because they are paid a hell of a lot more for it than most. Also they don’t often wear them for 12 hours straight. There are definitely breaks and it also doesn’t happen that long every day
@MrWonka, yeah, but they are not dying due to lack of oxygen like those people are bitching about. Besides, you are supposed to change it between patients, and you do get breaks. It's an inconvenience, not a death trap.
I love how Karens are mad at being called Karen and are saying it’s as bad as the N word (I still haven’t figured out what word the N word is, but I keep getting distracted by porn)
I feel like the inside of the mask gains moisture quick enough that a 12 hour shift would have it absolutely soaking. These pleated masks are not as effective once they’re wet. So I don’t think the 12 hour shift person is as happy go lucky as the stock art is showing.
@BiteMyShinyMetalA55, They're actually supposed to change them between patients. Otherwise they're a Petri dish of viruses and bacteria and you're more likely to get others sick. They're actually only really effective in a non-sterile environment for about 10 minutes.
Try wearing one and being on a roof for 10 hours a day.
@SeelenVerKaufer , I hate it so much. Luckily for me most of my work I do alone. Usually maybe 1 other guy handing me stuff but for the most part I get away without one.
Why is the grammar so bad today?
Don’t add an apostrophe to pluralize Karen.
