Aah! I see you have the machine that goes ping. This is my favourite. You see, we lease this back from the company we sold it to, and that way, it comes under the monthly current budget and not the capital account.
@Code51, Sadly, that pretty much covers why so many companies go bust the moment there’s a small economic dip. They get taken over by ‘investors’ who sell all the assets (to take the cash from the business they just bought) and then load the business up with debt to lease everything back - so they run on wafer thin profit margins, and can’t survive any economic stress.
