Best plot twist would’ve been her going “I am no man!”, sticking her sword in his face, and having absolutely nothing happen. Then he just sighs, and is like “you know that’s not a sex thing, right? I can’t be killed by a MORTAL.” before taking her out in one hit.
@I Are Lebo, i like how you worded that as if he deals with it all the time
@I Are Lebo, if I remember right that particular scene was compared to Macbeth. About a prophecy of no man born of woman can kill a particular character, but someone was born via cesarian so they could, and did kill said character. It's all about the miniscule loopholes here that I love
@CPUBlueHeart, Macbeth might be Shakespeare's best work.
@Gallchobhair, well, we are talking about a medieval style world, right? There’s no internet, which means if Eowyn heard the rumour that “the Nazgul cannot be killed by man”, then it must have spread pretty far and wide.
@I Are Lebo, when they said no man, elf, or dwarf could kill them I thought the hobbits could, which would have been way cooler imo.
Also apparently in the book Merri had a magic sword and when he stabbed the wraith in the leg that made him vulnerable? I haven't verified that but I heard it somewhere
@I Are Lebo, ah. I hadn’t considered that
@Mantis Tobaggan, that is exactly what happened, and it was also in the movie but they kinda ignored the fact that his sword was made during an ancient war specifically to harm the witch king
@Mantis Tobaggan, was that not in the movie? Merry stabbed the Witch-King in the back of the knee. Not sure if the sword was magical, though.
@I Are Lebo, yes he did stab him, but I dont think it ever explained that the sword was magic in the movies
@Mantis Tobaggan, I asked my dad (who is a huge LOTR nerd) and he said it was magical. Given to him by Gondor or some shït.
It’s been so long since I’ve read it, I’ve long since forgotten.
@CPUBlueHeart, it’s good narrative to make a super powerful character with a weakness that is inevitably exploited to facilitate their downfall.
Troy was the same story as well. Achille’s and his heel.
She is no man
I thought this was ciri...
I’d stab her in the face if you know what I mean
