District 9 hello
@Velocitaptor, my favourite sci fi film
Wait it’s all america?
@dshira, always has been. 🔫
I just think most people in hollyweird don’t know how to write a movie that’s not in California, DC, New York, Miami, or Nevada. Cause those places seem to be the most common in American movies to me.
@Toxia, I know, it’s gotten to the point where I start to dislike any movie, show, or book that takes place in a giant city because I’m just tired of seeing the same tropes over and over again because the writer is too lazy to pick a real setting.
@Toxia, don’t forget the cost. It’s a lot cheaper to set a movie in the area where you’ll be using a studio for interior sets.
Well these days you see China in it aswell for some reason.
@80think08, that one reason: money, for both the humans and the aliens.
@80think08, gotta get that sweet Chinese cinema cash
@80think08, China is trying to make China look as good as possible to the outside world. Martian also had to rely on china to get mat off the moon. China learned that spreading their filth dictatorship through force wasn't as effective as showing reliance on them in movies. They also own AMC as far as I remember
@G1ngerB0y, looking forward to the future
USA is my world 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
What about the pyramids and the Sphinx
Maybe they are just starting with the biggest threat?
The US has the biggest and best movie and tv production companies in the world. Why would they not predominantly use their own countries? The same is true for other countries when they make movies and tv shows. UK favors filming in the UK with UK actors etc.
It's supposed to make it hit home. People are selfish and don't care if aliens trash Bangladesh
My mom and I finally watched a few of the transformers movies and so far Chicago has been hit twice and Bejing once
Also you have to show the Indian poverty and the wall of China
There are too many States on that map.
