Anyone who says they didn’t lose their mind when this happened or when yoda pulled his in AOTC is lying
@BigJohnson86, I’ve never seen a star wars movie in theater or at home on my own accord
@BigJohnson86, I thought the double sided saber was the COOLEST shjt back in the day. My childhood best friend and I used to have saber battles with the toy sabers, and I went Darth Maul EVERY. TIME.
@BigJohnson86, yeah man everyone lost their minds at both of thos parts. The rest of the first two are pretty bad but damn they had some hype sh!t in there
@Grybo, yup, was immediately Darth Maul that year for Halloween and I keep waiting for some ghost fool to drop out of the trees so I could whoop em up with my plastic double sabre
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one
Darth Maul was easily the best part of episode 1 and the only saving grace
@Kangaroo Jacked, I'd say you also have to add Qui-Gonn to that statement as well.
@fettman1138, Qui-Gonn? The most bland and boring character to come from a star wars movie? You sir have a different opinion then me and I respect that. I found the prequels entertaining but they were not good lol. Theres a guy called Mr. Plinkett on YouTube who does an in depth review of the phantom menace (it's like 70 minutes) but he makes great points and it's a very good watch. He does do weird creepy cuts with random disturbing things but I can look past it for the well thought out review.
@Kangaroo Jacked, I liked pod racing too
My 10yo self is on the right.
I still get goosebumps every time that second blade comes out
Man you dont know the..... half of it 😎
I remember hearing about a theater screening Meet Joe Black, but they had the Episode 1 trailer before the movie... people bought a movie ticket, watched the trailer, then immediately left before Meet Joe Black started.
For the younger crowd, this was six years before YouTube, so we couldn't really look up this stuff online.
Has it really been that long?
