If you're trying to make any sort of statement about Mexico being better than America, you're gonna be hard pressed to convince me.
@ThePandaPool , it's the filter.
@ThePandaPool , for real, I might be better than California though
@Mantis Tobaggan, I've lived in both, California is way better.
@ThePandaPool , it's making fun of the filter used to portray mexico in most movies
@ThePandaPool , idk about other states and cities in but Oregon, specifically the Portland area, are are down wind from some massive fires and are now blanketed by smoke. Ngl all the smoke makes it look very similar to that filter they put on Mexico in films.
@ThePandaPool , well in mexico u usually have $10 drink and drown.
@DavidRomeroBruh, I have no clue what that means but it sounds awesome
@KermitSmash, it means you pay 10 bux at a club or bar and you can drink till u drown.
@DavidRomeroBruh, Yep, awesome. See y'all in Mexico
@HeadNode, well maybe not in its current state
California’s not real. That’s propaganda by the lizard people

@BigJohnson86, i thought that was canada?
To be fair, I hardly consider California America
@RepostSniper, Commiefornia? D:
@spongeblade, ironic that the largest US GDP contributor is California, with you know, Silicon Valley
@Urraca Mesa, Not ironic, California is the most populated state. It logically follows that it has the largest economy, not surprisingly Texas has the second largest economy, and is the second largest state.
@Urraca Mesa, it is ironic. They have the largest gdp and they still manage to screw everything up so much with their anti capitalist bs.
Couldn’t we just saw California off from the rest of the continent and push it into the ocean? No more fires, no more libtards moving to my state to flee their shjtty state only to then try and make my state more like theirs, and since California accounts for a huge amount of liberal-leaning electoral votes, we may actually see an end to our garbage bipartisan system.
people are leaving california faster than a kid rock concert
Come to Florida! But not if from California!
You people are all acting like a bunch of fires don't happen EVERY SINGLE YEAR ON THIS WHOLE COAST!
They are particularly bad this year though. Would you look at that, 18 of the 19 hottest years have been since 2000.
Part of the reason why California wants to go so hard against climate change is because we catch fire every year because it has been getting hotter and hotter. Our economy depends on 1) technological innovation and 2) farming. If our farms burn down, our state doesn't make nearly as much money and the whole of the US gets to have severe food shortages and much if the world gets to go with certain food shortages. The US will have grain and corn and almost everything else will be in short supply. So when the CA economy dips, so does the US economy.
Also, doesn't Oregon supply most of the wood to the US? Gonna be a severe wood shortage for a little while. Bad timing too. Lots of houses about the need some rebuilding.
@mas2de, y'all don't do prescribed burns nearly enough. Fires are natural. Cali should burn millions of acres a year to use up the fuel that these fires burn off. Now your fvcked. Even a prescribed fire may burn out of control because of all the tree huggers not wanting to let nature clean itself every few years. Climate change is a thing, yes, but preventing nature from doing what it natural is equally as bad. Y'all live in ivory towers out there and think your saving the planet but the planet is telling you what it wants. Let the fires burn or they will be worse every year. Florida learned that a long time ago around 2000
@Drunk Pantless Uncle, Read up on the subject. More than half of CA forests are federal forests. California Has Requested that the Forestry Service do more to prevent fires and the people in the forestry service would like to, but they say the budget is tied up in reacting to fires. That coupled with cutting back our logging industry by ⅔ from 1975 to 2016 means there is tons of undergrowth and dead layer on the forests throughout the state along with the trees themselves being more dense. CA owns 3% of the 33 million acres of CA forests. USDA Forest service owns 19-20 million acres of that. The rest is owned by logging companies, individuals, native tribes, etc.
After the 1910 fire, USFS fire suppression rules and tactics changed to putting fIres out ASAP. This applies to federal forests in CA too.
OR has a heavy logging industry and fed forests too. Tons of fires there. No relation to CA.
Most, but not all, of the fires in CA are on federal land.
Only doing ~½ of the burns we should.
@mas2de, It should not be "millions of acres". According to Cal Fire and the US FS it should be about 1 million acres of preventive burns. Currently about 500,000 acres are burnt/ yr in CA.
@Drunk Pantless Uncle, It isn't Trump's fault that Ca is on fire. Blaming him would be stupid and uniformed. Just like it would be stupid and uninformed of him to say to CA "You've gotta clean your floors." Does he and did he have the power to change how the forestry service cares for the forests? Yes. Since some of the largest fires on record have happened in the Western US states in the last decade or so, should he push for the USDA FS to reevaluate it's recommendations and practices regarding forestry management? Yes. Am I angry that he hasn't? No. Even though it's obvious something should be changed. 100 years of refusing to let natural fires burn is hurting the Western states including Idaho and Colorado. Is it Trump's fault that he has no clue what he's talking about yet is more than happy to shjt on CA and spread misinformation to idiots that he knows will eat it up that rails against CA? Absolutely.
Isn’t Mexico City so lousy with smog that there are days where people can’t leave their homes? Or did I hear wrong?
@Dexter Grif, I lived in Mexico City and Los Angeles and people from LA complain way more than Mexico City folk.
@Velocitaptor, that’s just the California culture though
Only reason i still live in cali is my grandma.
California was part of Mexico much longer than it’s been part of the US.
So, Mexico is invading the US?
