Something really similar happened to me once when I was driving. The car in front of me was swerving a bit, then slowly went off the side of the road into a fairly deep ditch and vaulted off a sewer pipe earth covering. We weren't going that fast, maybe 30 MPH, so I was surprised how much air the car got. It slammed down pretty violently and then PULLED BACK ONTO THE ROAD AND KEPT DRIVING. I wished I had a dashcam.
The duke boys is at it again.

So he/she was just rando recording bc they thought something might happen?
@PROC DUDE, it's a dashcam. Lots of people have them. They're there to prove who did what if an accident occurs...
kinda like bodycams on police officers.
@PROC DUDE, it's staged. And why do you assume it's a he/she? Are you transphobic? Just kidding- love u

"Honey, I installed the new garage."
Why do so many people video record their driving?
@1oftheFew, mostly because they live in unsavory areas they need to record who was at fault in an accident. More than a few times an accident has happened where one of the drivers would be angry at the other person for causing it only to back down when they found out about the camera.
And also to get footage like this.
@1oftheFew, for insurance reasons
