“A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.”
@CapnJazz33, if you make something idiot proof the world will just build a better idiot
At least give us the bare basics and let us figure the rest out on our own, don't just assume I have big brain
@Sivls, “it’s big brain time!” *does everything completely wrong*
In my experience users are fûcken dumb. Not matter how easy you make it
This is why UX designers exist. Hire us. We’re worth it.
@Rowule, I got into a 2 hour argument with my ux engineer (im an app dev) about what the button "cancel" meant below a payment selection input (by design it exits the entire payment flow) I wanted it to say "exit payment" they wanted "cancel" on step fvckin 3 of payment. Guess which one we went with? Yep "cancel". Guess what percentage of people who pressed that button were passed off? Almost all of them.
The Snoopy method.
