@voided sanity, Indeed
@voided sanity, indeed
@voided sanity, -Sips tea in Warehouse 13- seriously underrated show
And then you bring up all the Star Trek movies and suddenly they ain’t sitting so high.
@Thone09, the tv shows aren't doing so hot either
@Samblob, all of Sci-Fi isn't doing so hot.
@DamienD, aliens tho
How “Spaceballs” fans look at both of you
I’m just going to come right out and say it: Star Trek: Discovery season 3 episode 1 was utter shïte and everyone involved should be looked down on for it.
@I Are Lebo, what was so bad about it? Finished season one a little while ago and thought it was OK, but I'm curious because I've got the feeling like the shows gonna go downhill from the point I'm at currently
@I Are Lebo, no idea what you’re talking about but I like your energy!
@I Are Lebo, I have seen every version of Star Trek except discovery and lower decks. Are they worth watching?
@I Are Lebo, yes, but just remove 'season 3 episode 1' from that sentence.
@I Are Lebo, if only discovery had been all about Captian Pike it might have been good...
@slug11, it was dumb af, meandering, and pointless.
There’s a chase sequence that lasts like ten minutes where the bad guys have no clear motivation for chasing them, they appear out of thin air and get gunned down by the dozens without ever landing a single hit on the heroes, and stop appearing whenever they want to do dialogue or drama, reappearing again when convenient. No explanation for why they stop, why they restart (this happens multiple times), nor for why they suddenly are open to negotiation, which ends in more deaths and suddenly the chase ends with also no explanation.
The characters introduced are all completely one dimensional, and everything introduced to Star Trek lore has basically been to shït all over everything by that’s come before. The surviving Federation are akin to a cult clinging to the past out of pure stubbornness, possessing no power or purpose.
Discovery as a whole has been pretty bad, but season 3 is going even further.
@Fairy Squad Mother, no. Not at all. Discovery has some great moments in season 1, but season 2 jumped the shark. It’s very poorly written, there’s definitely elements of irl political motivations in the casting and storytelling, and the acting is not good.
Lower Decks is stupid shït for stupid people. It’s like if Futurama and The Family Guy had a baby together but the baby was born retarded.
@The Freaking FBI, I was being generous. There’s SOME good content to season 1.
@I Are Lebo, wow that sucks, but somehow I'm not surprised. It feels like star trek has, since the newer movies, has just turned into a half baked action series
@slug11, it’s trying too hard to be Star Wars.
But.... I like both of them...
Seems like the other way around
@FaceGhost, this is how Star Wars fans look at literally everyone.
@Kyle Ron, it's also how Star Wars fans look at other Star Wars fans depending on which movies they liked and didn't like
Them Trekkies love to talk shít but star wars over here been doing better in every aspect for years
Its all about final space
I like them both.... more into Star Trek, though, since there’s more on screen presence. Discovery is good. Picard is better. Lower Decks is awesome! Still, nothing beats Wrath of Khan in my opinion.
I grew up with both. Both? Both, both are fine.
