This is probably why I don’t play games on my phone anymore: everything has in app purchases. Thanks EA.
@XeromusPwndCecil, disagree you dont have to pay as long as its not pay to win. Buuuutt you did basically say fůck EA so heres my upvote. Anthem still hurts me
@jerriest jerry , we don't use the A word around here..
it could have been so great if EA didn't stick their grubby little hands all over it
@Swagnamite, if they would just listen to their fans. I dont understand why thats so hard for them to grasp. The gameplay was great but everything else was just crap. They literally made a npc that was made to annoy you.
@XeromusPwndCecil, Yeah EA is too big for its own good. I remember when EA was just a startup putting out real quality titles for the Sega Genesis. Their sports titles were revolutionary for the console market. Now having exclusive rights to some of the major sports has made them completely stagnant because they don't have any competition anymore.
That being said, if you play/have played Madden there is going to be a huge change.
@XeromusPwndCecil, For the last 5 years, every NFL player has had a RFID chip in their jersey, tracking every move they made on the field. This is how they get those stat percentages on the AWS commercials. Finally, player speed, agility and movement will be based on real world physics instead of mo-cap and arbitrary ratings. This supposedly will make it feel more like a simulation rather than an arcade game. Looking forward to it on Series X/PS5.
@Funny Pics Janitor, yeah, once upon a time, EA was a quality content creator with a conventional monetization scheme. I’m not sure exactly when it happened (early 2000s?) but it was almost overnight they completely changed their methodology.
*In Greta Thunberg voice* “HOW DARE YOU!”
The main reason I skipped the Avengers game.
@Hotchkiz, corporate marketing: the video game
Cough cough gta
*glares at MMORPG's*
Though at least MMO's stay up for years, putting loot boxes in shooters and such is pure evil.
