In for a penny, in for a farthing.
@PippyPie, what he lacks in safety he makes up for with stupidity
Can someone explain who has the right of way here? I'm too American to understand all these squiggly lines and left side driving.
@SloomDayer, pretty sure the cyclist had right of way
@HSA, I feel like a penny-farthing should never have right of way in any circumstances.
@HSA, no, he didn’t. The van was already partway through its turn before the cyclist entered the crossing.
@I Are Lebo, na bike was on main road going straight, van turning across him on to side road, bike had right of way. The sign on the road is a "keep clear" not a crossing
@I Are Lebo, I also feel like the cyclist should've hit the brakes...
@Empshok, do you really think that bike that predates WW1 by almost 30 years has a braking system?
@Jaune Arc, I think that if they don't wanna die a very stupid death, they'll have installed one before taking it on a road.
@HSA, he most likely did, but he should also be responsible for paying attention to the traffic around it. I see this happening a lot in my area. Cyclist who think they are invincible and don't even stop for red lights or signs.
I guess someone made a wheely big mistake
I’ve never seen someone on these bikes go down. And I found it funny...
but hope he’s okay.
@Mario Kart, there have been races with these bikes banned because of deaths from these type of bikes being to common in those races because when you go down on one its usually really bad

Biker- "Why I oughtta..."
"I don't have to follow the rules of either vehicles or pedestrians"
@Kangaroo Jacked, the biker was acting properly. It's in the UK, so biker was in left hand lane turning left. The van failed to yield while crossing oncoming traffic.
@Board Stiff, she was not making a left
@jabopples, you are correct, my apologies. However that means the biker was maintaining their course of travel and ended up hitting the side of the van. Again, the van failed to yield by pulling into oncoming traffic.
@Board Stiff, And don’t forget that a penny farthing like that probably doesn’t have brakes, so their options for avoiding the van were pretty limited (that said, swerving right rather than left would penalty have been the better idea).
Good to know that bikes are just as disliked outside of the USA.
@Poisonwolf, good to know people are still indifferent to risking bikers life bc of their own impatience and entitlement.
@FoodEatsI, bikers risk their own lives when they willingly choose to ride on the same roads as giant metal machines. Not saying it's ok for drivers to harm bikers but that is a risk that bikers willingly take.
@FoodEatsI, every time I've seen or heard a story about a bicyclist being hit it's the bicyclist that did something wrong. Either running a stop sign or ignoring the turn signal of the vehicle or something like that.
The greatest entitlement I see in situations like this are from the bicyclist. who don't believe they need to stop at stop signs and believe that all vehicle traffic should stop for them.
Typical dpd driver. More important than anyone else on the road.
HAVE AT YOU
I hope that hurt, you absolute moron.
Jesus Christ how different do u have to be that u need to ride that thing
It looks like they turned to run straight into the van... That being said, it was an amusing crash to watch because of the giant front wheel.
Portland? Fuvking hipsters. I was a hipster before it was cool lol.
Is this west London?
Take that you hipster swine!
That dude just got DP’d
