@officercoolguy, um because godzilla could've just sank all the ships leaving Kong in the water and then just drowned him? Also for him to pull himself backup onto the ship after drowning he wouldve destroyed the ship. Not only is he basically 158tons and pulling hard on only a portion of the ship but with the added weight of the water in his hair he probably has like 4 tons more than that minimum on him. If that isnt true (maybe I'm underestimating a carrier ship that is probably already fully loaded and the strength of its hull) we can just go back to godzilla could've sunk the thing leaving no escape for kong.

@officercoolguy, well, it was smart on Godzillas part but counting that as a loss for kong is bs imo, king was at too massive of a disadvantage for it to count against him.

@Mantis Tobaggan, I was rooting for Kong but he was clearly outmatched. He had nothing going for him besides primate rage.

@Runnin with scissors, that was godzillas equivalent of slapping kongs books out of his hand and yelling welcome to high-school. It was a statement to the humans and kong that he's the alpha.
