@Thee Scythian, I don't know much but i I know that their large coat isn't for warmth per se, but insulation to regulate their body heat in any temp. Beyond that im sure walking them and playing with them would alleviate their energy like any other animal. As far as your dog goes. Let the chickens roam free, then you'll get a fox problem, boom. Dog is required for order

@Codeine, unfortunately I don't have a dog or chickens. Way too many skunks, foxes, and birds of prey. The number of foxes has gotten so high here in the last year I've started catching them in traps more often than skunks and feral cats. ( I let anything that isn't a skunk go btw) sorry too long of a reply and I will look into how well they can handle heat that was an interesting point thank you : )

@Thee Scythian, Huskies are able to easily adapt to hot weather. The breed is able to adapt to any weather extremely well, which is why they are usually type cast as cold weather dogs. You did hit the nail on the head about exercise though. This dog might be bored or is sad as the owner is getting ready for work. Regular exercise for Huskies is important for a healthy lifestyle but it doesn't have to be daily. A husky acting like this isn't automatically being mistreated. I have a cousin in California that lives a super active lifestyle and goes hiking 3-4 times a week. On days he doesn't go for a hike he still goes out for runs. Even right after a couple hour run if you say "hike" around his husky he starts doing this because he loves hikes. Hell even do it later in the day after hiking. Huskies dont bark and howl for many reasons, they really are just dramatic dogs.

@AbolishedShadow, I did do a bit of reading and one of the reasons I read for that weird cry is separation anxiety, idk how accurate that is but I guess it makes sence. I know I made people angry about the hot weather bit and I never thought huskies in hot areas are just dying left and right, I just wanted more information and peoples opinions on this. Thank you to everyone who helped educate me on the subject and apologies to anyone I've offended with my ignorance
Not to sound like a jerk but maybe don't get a breed of dog that's ment to be out in the cold working for hours a day and keep it in a house all day.. I would love to have a dogo argentino but seeing as my farm has no wild pig or mountain lion problems I can't really justify getting one. Again sorry if I've offended anyone but it bothers me seeing all these videos of a dog that has no business being in 90+ degree weather all day with no exercise, maybe I'm wrong and if I am please correct me but it seems kinda cruel
