THIS IS FVCKING MAGNIFICENT! I can't stop watching it.
If the car fits, mirror to mirror with only a few inches of space between them. Start backing up and hard crank it into the space. Lessen the turn as necessary. Boom best parallel parking tactic taught to me by my New Yorker dad.
@Snackeroo, exactly what I've recently taught my girlfriend after me always having to parallel park for her. Pull next to the front car, cut in hard, once about halfway (middle of your car to rear bumper of front car), start to ease out of the turn. Always give yourself room to get out by pulling as far back (without fúcking the person behind you), and hope someone doesn't screw you by the time you come back.
@Snackeroo, an alternative, pull side by side like stated above, turn hard 8nto the spot when your rear wheel clears their rear bumper, then hard the other way when your front wheels pass their back wheels. If there's room, you'll go right in every time. Source: Philly parking sucks ass
@Snackeroo, start cutting wheel back when your mirror gets to bumper
This is a teaching moment.
@DamienD, yes, I learned a lot about natural selection and it’s seems to have stopped
@ZeroG1422, maybe the girl wanted her to learn? I'd do something like that
@wannabe firefighter, I wouldn't risk damage to my car for that. I'd tell her stop right there, let me move WAAAY out of the way and then go ahead. I'd still spot her if she needed it though.
@wannabe firefighter, I did not mean theory that helped, in fact I think we need more people out there like that. But still
That 2nd women "had us in the first half..."
Do they not teach you how to parallel park anymore?
She could’ve leveled out with her initial pull up.
I asked a woman how she liked parking downtown once, and she said it was hard until she learned to drive by feel. Just go super slow until you feel your car touch the car behind you.
@werp zerp snickel, like I always say when parking in tight spots, “good thing we have bumpers”
