Okay, Napa native here. If you ever want to impress, or blend in depending on the crowd, at a wine thing: hold red wine by the bell of the glass with your palm to slightly warm it and “release tannens” (the flavor/smell whatever stuff in the red wine) that’s what all the swirling is about too. and you hold a white wine glass by the stem to keep the wine cold. Now go fool people into thinking you are classy AF.
