And a 3 day weekend
The cynic in me says it was probably a rich person who wanted the people working for them to do more work.
@Marida Cruz, actually I believe the weekend used to just be Sunday, I think Saturday was added by factory owners in the 1700s(?) Don't @ me, I learned that in hs history.
@Kingsizedmidget, then I was half right.
@Kingsizedmidget, pretty sure it was added by Henry Ford in order to make sure employees had enough free time to buy his cars, but I don’t remember where I learned that (I think a business class)
@Cpzombie, I remember hearing this too in I think high school econ... Idk how trustworthy of a source that is tho
@Cpzombie, uh I totally learned it in business class and not on “Adam ruins everything”...
Separating your food intake into smaller meals you eat throughout the day tricks your metabolism into thinking there’s plenty of food, speeds it up, and stores less as fat according to my body builder roommate.
@A Flying Panda, try that programming on your butt all day and see how quickly it takes to get to 300 lbs
@Gothem, it’s still fine, as long as you pay attention to calories
@A Flying Panda, less a$$ fat
Well the second part I definitely agree with.
Yo ho yo ho a hobbit life for me!
Thing is, you can do what you want, I sometimes have a 4 day weekend, I have to keep finding a new job, but the 4 day weekend is always there if I need it
what’s the original joke?
We need more weekends
