While healthcare to take care of citizens would be great, one's own health is still a personal responsibility.
@Augustweather, when your personal decision takes away funds I'm forced to pay into.
If Insurance becomes nationalised, we put a weight limit on it.
Liposuction, auto disqualification for three years.
@Augustweather, health care to take care of citizens already exists. If you can’t afford it, you don’t deserve it.
Now imagine that being mustard
@Your Darkest Secret, I hope all the terrible things happen to you. Why would you ruin this glorious dish?
@BigJohnson86, there has to be someone here who likes mustard that much
@Your Darkest Secret, and this is your diabolical plan to out him so we can string him up by his toes?
How is Matt Stonie not dead?
This…this is exactly why we don’t have free healthcare….if we purged every fatty from the country, we could afford free healthcare and a nice little sticker for every American that has a little thumbsy uppy and smiley face on it!
@weneedacrusade, I think they should just deincentivize being fat. Start charging them higher prices on air travel. If I have to pay $50 because my bag weighs too much then make their ticket cost more. I'm 6'3 and 200lbs I'll pay my part too
@weneedacrusade, moreso all the people that will constantly be filling up the urgent cares and emergency rooms for nonissues. They already get full when people have to pay to go, imagine how unbearable it will be when anyone can go anytime for free and see any specialist they want. Add in that it is managed by the dmv people and poof you’ve got a doomed system.
@weneedacrusade, except that is Matt Stonie who weighs 134 pounds according to Google. He's hardly the face of the obesity epidemic.
@Richard Cypher, that sounds suspiciously... Canadian! to me...
@Runnin with scissors, you on Tindr?!
@leahgodfrey, yes, did my height specification tip you off? Or do you just wanna know where I am to get some of this good loving? unfortunately I actually left the market a few weeks back so I'll have to keep you as a side bjtch that I dont touch but is always there for a quick screw if things go south in my relationship but I'll guarantee a good time for those 3mins 27secs if that makes up for anything.
@Richard Cypher, that, my friend, is simply not true. I am a doctor in Sweden so I can safely say I know the system. Our emergency rooms are by no means more crowded than any I’ve seen stateside. Of course people come in with “nonissues” and from a professional standpoint it can get very frustrating. But saying it would get “much worse” with free healthcare, as you say, is simply not true.
@Runnin with scissors, I think that may go too far, but I definitely don't support accomodating people for laziness. We do that WAY too much.
@Runnin with scissors, you do realize most airlines charge overweight people for a second seat, right?
@Cloverleaf, um no, I fly a lot and so does my family. My dad has 1million air miles has that platinum card. Anyway they get seated next to lard balls that have fat bleeding over the arm rests pretty frequently because they travel to really shjtty places on work trips and they have never had a free ticket or seat because of it. They mostly fly A.A. but I've only ever heard of an extra charge for fatties from some south African airline. You have to be super obese like 400-500lbs before they'd charge for a second seat. I'm saying the combined weight of the passenger and their bags should be the price of the ticket.
@Runnin with scissors, nah no good. See the problem is that you’ve committed a fatal flaw, your plan actually makes sense. Therefore it’s never get any political backing to actually be passed. Also you might offend some people so it’s a double fatal flaw.
@Runnin with scissors, funny, my father was heavily overweight until about six years ago (he is at a much healthier weight now). And I can count on one hand the number of flights they didn’t make him pay for an extra seat. And I will say it’s not cause he was only on one flight. He used to have to do a lot of travel for work
@Runnin with scissors, haha, indeed! Thoroughly disappointed that you are off the market, but happy new relationship! (I can wait).
Healthcare is never free. Governments take money from the people, at threat of imprisonment, to pay for healthcare…of other people.
