What if someone kidnapped your homing pigeon, put it in a work camp, where it was forced to do day labor for 3 years with little to no food, and eventually got liberated by rebels, so it tries to fly back to you, only to make it 2 streets from your house, died of exhaustion and eaten by a cat?
