They aren't socially awkward because of the computer games / ipads. They were socially awkward first through any number of things on the spectrum, and the computer tablets make them feel at ease.
It's like the old saying about judging a fish by its ability to climb a tree. We are all different, and differences are what is needed for a society. People can't and won't be just like you because you want it that way. Celebrate the differences and learn something from those you think have nothing to offer.
@TheMightyImp, this is a statement that the salty boomers will bash because they dislike reality.
@TheMightyImp, a whole generation of antisocials.. sounds coherent.
I'm too millennial to find the funny in the bottom half. Just me?
@MrDigBick, It's funny cause that plane has been hijacked by terrorists and is nosediving into the island
Sadly, this is a real occurrence for some kids nowadays. Can only blame the parents though.
@Mag3rPayne, blows my mind to see kids on their tablets at family reunions… they have zero social skills
@seeUpee, I have a friend who has a mildly autistic kid and he just lets the kid watch the tablet aaaaaaaaaall day and I’m just like “hes going to struggle enough interacting with people as it is, is that really going to help him overcome his social shortcomings?”
@seeUpee, i can sympathize on some level with those kids because I would just go hide in a corner during my dads side family reunions. I didn’t know anyone outside of his immediate family so it was really awkward being ambushed by people who were basically strangers to me. If anything, kids on tablets are basically an evolution of what I did
@seeUpee, I'm curious to know if you would say the same thing if the kids were reading a book in the same situation. Don't mean to come across as condescending or anything, just genuinely curious as to your response.
@ZeroG1422, I’d take the iPad over socialising any day
@DaddyWurzel, don’t get me wrong, I would too, but you still need some level of social skills to get by.
@ZeroG1422, I didn’t get any social skills
These kinds of comics make my skin crawl; do these people really think younger generations are that stupid?
Grandparents: “That isn’t a joke.”
This is the type of thing my parents say as they watch tv for 12 hours a day.
What about the parents who don’t let their kids socialize with anyone, outside of school? And their only social interactions are family gatherings? And you don’t relate to anyone in your family/extended? The kid would only know that. I know that cuz I’m that kid. Thankfully college helped gain some of that missed interactions.
The generation that inhaled lead paint seriously thinking anything they do or say should be held with any veritable weight is hilarious.
@LyricTerror, says the generation that ate tide pods lmao.
@CainCross , no one was eating tide pods, lead sniffer. 💀
