@TheGrizzlyPhantom, I was a mid-level manager for walmart about a decade ago and not only did we have to come in Thanksgiving morning to work 7-11am, but we had to be back to work 8pm-whenever the higher ups decided we could leave that night for all the black Friday sales. That usually meant about 7am the next day

@Depressed Retail Guy, this is the problem, but the fact is some people who are travelling to or from family gatherings will want some kind of food for the road.. especially with picky kids. Having worked at KFC around xmas, you'd be amazed at how many people eat chicken in the middle of turkey season

@CocoasBro, my favorite part of that is, you told people to better themselves, many did when they got laid off. Coding classes and a few other online classes were being taken by a sh!tload of people, and they got a better job. Now you're mad because there aren't as many people to make you're big Mac lol

Whenever i worked on Thanksgiving i always made at least time and a half, sometimes double time depending on where i worked. I was always glad to have an excuse to not go to the family Thanksgiving thing. I know this might sound crazy, but some people like to work on the holidays, either because they don't care much for family gatherings or because they like money.
I worked at Burger King, and people would always ask if we were going to be open on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Seriously, to all those people, I'd like to send out a heartfelt "F*ck you!"
