Ok so I have this friend who used to say beer tasted like dirty sink water. When i was a bartender all i did was slowly introduce him to new beers until finally he liked one and now he loves most beers. He loves adult cartoons too but has been getting sick of the played out story in most of them. Finally got him to watch scissor 7 and he loved it. So I'm just gonna say if you dont like anime maybe you havent found the right one to get you interested.
@Runnin with scissors, I’m a pretty big fan of the sci-fi’s and psychological ones. There’s one for everyone if they can get over the mental hurdle of watching anime
@Pat Myckok, I know it has no sci-fi elements, but it hits on some of the same philosophies that sci-fi do.
I'd recommend "monster."
It's a psychological horror that poses a question from the start. A doctor had a choice between saving lives. A politician or a child. He picks the child, saving his life. After a string of murders the doctor takes up the case as an investigator, as the boy grew into a machiavellian serial killer.
@That one lurker, that sounds really good. I’ll have to throw that at the top of my watchlist. I really like the crime thrillers too. Psycho pass is one of my favorites
@Pat Myckok, oh yeah, then you'll love this. Happy watching.
@That one lurker, if you like philosophical stuff you should try watching Ergo Proxy. It’s old and it may take a few watches to actually understand the story but it’s another one of my favorites
@Pat Myckok, well if you're in psychological horror, I'd like to recommend a Fooly Cooly. It's abought a teen going through puberty, while he grows a penis out of his head.
It may take you a few watches to get it, but you'll love every secound of it.
@That one lurker, yeah I liked that. One of the best soundtracks I’ve heard in a show
The stupid superhero anime made me cry. Fvckin emo ice kid and his trauma, making me cry.
@SimonPetrikov, look, I cry when I see other people stub their toe. So mister breaks his hand when he high fives, gets me pretty good.
Room for one more…
