@Sterling M Archer, sure until they switch to a PC. In all reality a top competition pc is way out of most people's price range but they just play better and have waaaaay better sensitivity for shooters and versatility for games. I wont criticize any consoles other than the switch though because that shjt sucks unless you are just getting started kinda like asteroids or pacman.

@110100100, at least with Nintendo you know they have tested the games thoroughly to make sure they are fun and stable. They are crazy high in price, which is annoying as they are the more family friendly console.

When a PlayStation 5 is selling online for almost as much as a Dell gaming PC with an RTX 3060 Ti GPU, it no longer makes sense to buy those consoles

I just like the diversity of PC and that's where all my friends play. So PC it is. I used to play consoles all the time, and I loved them, but I just got so tired of having to choose consoles each time they came out, I wanted to play both, so PC helped there. But I still have older consoles around because sometimes nothing beats a couch gaming session lol

If you buy the 3 Major Consoles to have some variety, you not only will have spent more than a PC, but also still have only a tiny fraction of both games, and capability as a PC. That being said, I own consoles and a PC. But certain things collect more dust than the other.

@I Are Lebo, You do you, I know guys like that. Apparently it's wierd to specialize in racing games and play exclusively with mouse and keyboard. I have scared people because they didn't know I could beat them with a keyboard. I don't see the appeal of a controller, but to each their own.

@thatoneguymaybe, I mean, it’s more about how leaning over the keyboard hurts my back. You can adapt to pretty much any control scheme. Also some types of games work better with different control styles.

@thatoneguymaybe, playing games like Dirt Rally 2 with a keyboard is nearly impossible. Pressing W is usually too much throttle input. I would recommend at least buying a controller for a more competitive and comfortable experience. As for the appeal of using a controller for FPSs, here's a few.

@member berry, I use minute variations of presses for controlling the throttle, so I can overcome that, plus if you have the right keyboard you can vary the press. I own both Dirt Rally and Dirt Rally 2.0, but they aren't great games on their own in the first place in my opinion. It took time to become accustomed to their wildly different environment reactions. They don't play physics like many other games. I don't find the throttle hard, it's just the way the cars respond to anything that is the problem. Also, you listed no reasons, either you were making a joke, or forgot. There is no advantage to FPS games with a controller, unless you use Auto Assist. You can be far more precise with a mouse.

@I Are Lebo, I’m the same. I have an issue with my hands where they don’t respond to commands that fast. By adding more buttons than the ones I’d use on a controller I suck at any game I’m playing. Having both a stick and a limited supply of buttons I end up outperforming my friends. It’s weird because my hands suck. My handwriting looks like a third graders. The literal only thing I can do well with them is play video games on a controller

It’s not that I’m against it at all, I just don’t have money and my schedule most definitely can’t support more than maybe 10 hours a week. So the value just isn’t there for me to get a PC vs something cheaper and ready to go at anytime.
