Its kind of a security problem to not obfuscate which is wrong. Most sites have a decent enough password recovery feature that will solve the issue
@haarknir, the password recovery feature: “forgot your password? Fvck you, make a new one.”
@Mr Star, Well, yes. If the passwords are stored properly they should never be able to retrieve it for you. Look up password hashing
Would be nice if it said something along the lines of "this usernames does not exist in our servers" or something. I had two email addresses and sometimes I forget what went under what.
Imagine going to the Ashley Maddison and typing in a bunch of friends/coworkers personal emails and it saying “password incorrect”, “but the email is totally here”.
How would the website know what YOUR user name is?
Computer says "No"
