@Rudolph Schmidt , I wouldn't go that far, but I am genuinely kinda pissed at the reveal of who a certain character actually is which is like one of the final and best twists in the books (at least to my memory having not read them in like 5yrs). The rest of the season was alright, even pretty good in some parts, I didn't hate all their modulations to the books' or games' version of the story. My only other complaints really were that Burn Butcher Burn wasn't as catchy as Fishmonger's Daughter or Toss a Coin and Jaskier's hair was weird for me. But the character reveal at the end of this season has genuinely left a bad taste in my mouth tbh

@Sven and Otar, My main gripe is the creator of the show quite literally said: "the main goal of the show is to accurately portray the books." And then we got whatever tf this season was. Apart from the first episode nothing they did was from the books at all. They're making up their own story and only using the characters names. It's probably the worst adaptation I have ever seen. I mean Vesemir trying to give ciri dangerous mutations? Them trying to say elder blood is necessary for Witcher potions? That creates a huge plot hole. It disrespects the lore so hard and they try so hard to just be a generic fantasy show. It's frustrating bc I love the cast I love the soundtrack I love the designs and it's all useless bc of the terrible writing. I completely agree that "certain character" was revealed way too early and quite literally had no weight to it. If I hadn't read the books I would probably have been like: "who?" Ps. Burn butcher burn was a banger and could have been about anyone.

@Sven and Otar, I haven't read the books yet, but I heard that twist had to be early because a lot of him in the book was pov? Kind of like the "reek" twist was impossible for game of thrones because it relies on you not actually seeing the character. Again, haven't read them yet but that's what I heard about it

@Mantis Tobaggan, That character is never in the books till the very end and never in pov. There is one scene actually in thr 4th book I believe where he's in maybe 1 paragraph talking however that could easily be a just show the back of the head type scene in show. You might be thinking of different character tho I'm not sure. That's fair I guess. I liked season 1 alot. I feel like if I hadn't read the books the writing was still problematic enough for me not to like this season. However knowing how it's supposed to be obv makes it alot worst. Did u like season 1 or 2 better?

@Rudolph Schmidt , I like them more and less in different ways. I like that season two isn't three timeliness and constantly jumping back and forth, and I loved Yen and Jaskier palling around but constantly insulting eachother. I also like that they didn't draw out any drama between Heralt and Jaskier and they were just bros again. Season 1 was overall better because tbh the monster hunting is my favorite part in the games and lore in general from the research I've done so season 1 having more monster hunts pushed it over the edge to me. And season 2 wasn't as fun, but I generally like what they are setting up I think. I've got a massive book backlog so I won't be reading them for a while. They really should have been up front that it was going to be different though. At least triss had red hair this time
Season 2 was so bad
