@JoeJoestar, maybe cyclists wouldn't need to be the worst if the infrastructure we built for them wasn't crumbling and dangerous at best. Look I hate over zealous cyclists but I've tried to do a lot of biking and the fact is even when there are bike lanes they're so poorly designed you end up having to make your way into traffic regardless to get anywhere. If we had actually well developed bike infrastructure there would be way less need for them to get in the way of cars and pedestrians

@JoeJoestar, gimme a break. If all those driving cars all of a sudden couldn’t anymore and had to resort to riding bikes, they would ride them just like the people that they criticize. Also, any of you car drivers follow the rules exactly? You never speed, or roll thru a stop sign, or not signal your intention to turn? Maybe it’s not just cyclists, but society in general.

@DearOldDad, lol that’s a good defense. Cyclists aren’t trash because everyone is trash? The irony is that all your assumptions are why I think they’re the worst. Cause y’all always sound whiny and entitled. Personally, they’re too slow to be on the road so they’re nothing more than a moving obstacle and they’re too fast to be on the side walk cause they’ll mow down pedestrians. The whole “we will make a bike lane on the right side of the road” shît is asinine. The reason why cars making rights are on the right and not the middle is because it’ll cause wrecks. Except we do it with bikes who immediately get mad that they were the ones in the damn way. I rode bikes around a lot when I got to Cali and was shouted at and called ass hole by passing cars. Didn’t understand why. Then I had interactions with cyclists and understood. Don’t want cyclists to be hated? Be better. That simple.

@JoeJoestar, I guess I might have a small sample size, but I typically haven't had any issue with cyclists here in Florida. The place I live though only has a few bike lanes, so maybe that has something to do with it. However, I don't really like motorcyclists. There are a few I've seen that have been alright, but the majority of time I just see them go 20 over, use the turn lane to pass at an intersection, and weave between cars. You would think the lack of a giant, protective, metal box would make them try to not kiss asphalt

I will go through red lights only if there are literally no other vehicles around to witness me. I ride on the sidewalk only when I am on a road that is way too busy for me to feel comfortable in the road. When I am on a sidewalk I try to ride at a brisk waking speed or jogging speed. My well being is too important to be forced to ride in a road I don’t find safe. Unless the US starts taking the initiative to put in more bike lanes, which may happen with gas prices finally.
I think we can all agree that cyclists are the worst.
