@AverageIdiot, always lived in Cali and have no plans to move to some some cousin-marrying hicktown in the midwest. I’m currently in the process of buying a home in NorCal. Yeah, it’s pricey, but it’s not impossible, even on a warehouse worker’s salary, such as my own.

@Spadez7, I've always lived in Oklahoma and I don't plan on moving to some state that's extremely overpriced for no reason. I don't care to spend 30 years of pay to buy what is basically a yard shack anywhere else. I also don't care to run into people who are going to insult others based on where they live. (And you can say you where talking about the states, but the fact is the comment was aimed at the people living there)

@AverageIdiot, sadly that last part is true. A lot of economic staples are controlled more by right-leaning people (gas companies are a big one) and the prices get raised during Democratic presidencies to make it look like "Democrats are raising taxes"

@Lazy Wolf, he likely wasn't talking about the people living there. The housing markets in those states are, on average, cheaper. He didn't state a reason.

@The Puppet Man, true, I doubt he was, but the way someone words things dose matter and it kind of gave off a disrespectful tone. I might just be taking it the wrong way cause I've gotten so sick of the "cousin fvcker" remakes though. So I apologize for being too overly sensitive on it, I didn't mean to make it a thing. I live in New Jersey in a city that shares a bridge with NYC ( Staten Island side) and 99 percent of the homes shouldn’t cost what. They do but people are buying them bidding up to 130k over asking

I live in NYC and I've been saving for 5 years and still can't afford anything 🙃. I do have enough to buy in like 48 states though but too many people I like live here.
Rules for buying an affordable home. 1) Don't buy in expensive places like California or New York. 2) Buy in cheap places like Oklahoma or South Dakota. 3) Suburbs are cheaper than urban 4) Buy while a republican is president so interest rates will be lower (this is not a political statement, just a fact).
