Don't know why, but telling, and being told, "let's take a step back" actually works decently, even though it's functionally the same as "calm down".
@Myredhulk, this seems like a good idea. I may try this
@Myredhulk, ok hulk let’s take a step back and talk about this.
@Myredhulk, "Calm down" puts pressure on the listener to actively negate their emotions, whereas "let's take a step back" is more neutral and less confrontational. It's like the difference between trying to push water through a drain vs just pulling the plug.
@Myredhulk, Unless you're saying it to Amber Heard.
That’s why I just say “bitch stop being so crazy!”
@I Are Lebo, i was going to say "bitch just chill" tends to get the job done for me
@Guy Fawkes, bitches be trippin is a fan favorite
@I Are Lebo, are you speaking to us from beyond the grave?
@Sriracha, nah, I’m just single.
@I Are Lebo, this would be a good time to reflect then
@Sriracha, reflect on deez
It's better if you just tell them to "calm down," works 60% of the time, every time.
@twopotatoes, “calm down”
You have successfully calmed her down.
@twopotatoes, the other 40% can be solved by asking if she’s on her period.
@BigJohnson86, it’s solid advice. I’ve used it with mixed results.
Try “you must be on your period, because you’re too emotional right now, sweetheart. You need to calm your tits, love.”
