@SimonPetrikov, I love cats but also dislike the way people own them. Not that it's wrong but the way. Cats are literally am invasive species. "Today, more than 100 million feral and outdoor cats function as an invasive species with enormous impacts. Every year in the United States, cats kill well over 1 billion birds." It's not like I allow my dogs run around because they kill shjt too. But cats seem to be allowed to and this isn't even discussing rodents and reptiles which are all essential in an ecosystem.

@Cousteau, just get them declared or train them plus a bell. Cats are absolutely trainable but no one should be happy when their cat brings them a present.

@Cousteau, Never declaw a cat. It's inhumane. It's akin to cutting off a person's knuckles.

@18bluecat, well then keep them inside. Kinda inhumane to release a psycho killer with weapons into the public too. Basically saying go out and kill all the little animals that are indigenous. let's say I just have a bunch of dogs and allow them to run rampant no perimeter no containment. they'd kill a lot of stuff wouldn't be good also illegal. same idea

@Cousteau, Oh I do keep them inside. And keep the dogs on a leash when they're anywhere outside but the backyard. But feral cats are a thing too.

@18bluecat, true feral cats are a thing but I see a lot of outdoor cats with collars. Also where do you think those feral cats are from? They certainly aren't native.

@SimonPetrikov, I just had to say goodbye to my girl of about 15 years a few weeks ago. She used to sit across my shoulders as I worked at my computer. I miss her terribly. Give your kitten a hug for me, please.

So my grandmother died very recently and i was sitting on the couch crying. My cat went up to my roommate and meowed at him. He looked at her and said "are you trying to be a support cat? You're doing it wrong" and i said "yeah, if you wanted to be a support cat you'd be over here" and pointed to the couch. She then walked over and sat down right where i was pointing. It was so sweet

I have a shoulder cat too. He likes to drape himself over my left shoulder and drool. He’s a gray tabby so he looks like a big raccoon.
Aww my cat still crawls up on my shoulders, even after 14 years. She's getting old, can't jump as much as she used to. I'm gonna hug my cat when I get home.
