@Alpha Warrior, not in all states. I worked for several years at a Sheriff’s office that was also responsible for the jail. Any money was place on the individual’s books and they were charged a fee per day for being there. They did not get any money when they left besides what was left on their books
Don’t they usually get like $20 or so when they are released?
