@ptitty1231, yo-ho, yo-ho!
What I hate the most about all the streaming platforms now is having to pay extra to watch a movie that’s on the service I already pay for
@Bad Boi Jesus, I know that Amazon does that in the UK, but I feel like Disney+ stopped that after cinemas opened up again - and I don’t think that Netflix ever did it here.
Not sure about the other more niche streaming platforms though.
@Nellybert , Amazon Prime is the worst for this, you pay for the service then extra for certain films/shows then they still put ads before the video.
Disney+ is really showing how to lead the way with streaming atm with its content and price. Netflix have even changed some if their release to match with Stranger things not being all out at once
@Albatraous, Oh god, I hate the way you search for something on there and then watch all the relevant results vanish as soon as you hit the “and I don’t want to pay more money to watch it in the service I already pay for” button. In the UK when you buy a Fire Tablet you have to pay more for the hardware if you want it without extra adds.
Whenever a show comes out one episode a week, guarantee I’ll wait until I can binge watch the whole thing. Cos I’m just like that.
Except some are getting smart and detect VPNs and gosh dangit just let a guy watch a heckin movie. Sorry to swear
@Tazbrum, Hulu is one of them. I have to Turn off my VPN before logging in 😔
@Rick Hunter, I'm honestly surprised that they don't just tie your billing information to the region that it applies to. You have to give it to them so they would know what region you live/have the card you're using from so if they really didn't want you to be able to use a VPN then that would be the easiest way I'd imagine. I don't agree with this idea, but it would be the easiest way to implement it.
"Lets make a movie for people to watch, but when people try watch it, we'll tell them no because of location, and dont forget the chinese-cut without any gay charachters"
What the tarnation is region locked? Is this some Europe thing I'm too American to understand?
