I say this every time I see this type of post, but seriously, fück Ellie and fück her pain. Every decision she made in that game led directly to the deaths of her so called friends and to her own suffering. Her pain was almost entirely self inflicted through the dumbest decisions, as well as her not having the balls to actually finish her shït when she has the chance.
Real suffering is the Stardew Valley farmer when they check the calendar and realize they missed their favourite villager’s birthday the previous day and they were holding onto a high quality loved gift just for them.
@Owlrus98, you’re a cunt
@I Are Lebo, man, I loved star dew when I tried to played it but, I just can’t relax like I’m supposed to. Stuff like that, trying to fit everything into one day and having “consequences” if I fail, crops dying each season, etc. I just can’t seem to find a way to take a breath, relax and not to take the game seriously.
@Kaldr, eventually you realize crops are the least effective way to make money... until you reach the island and cover the whole thing in ancient seeds.
@18bluecat, well part of it is making money, but it’s usually mostly a time thing. Like “it’s raining so I need to try and catch these 3 fish, but I also need to upgrade a tool and start a building construction before both of them close because they aren’t open tomorrow. It’s also a persons birthday so I need to find them and I know they will be in the bar so I might as well bring gifts for the 7 other people, but I haven’t foraged in a while so a need to try and collect those if I can, and, and, and, and….” I the day to day, week to week, and month to month time constraints ends up making me feel like I have to rush because “I need” to get things done. Specifically because some have negative effects if you don’t like lose of friendship, dying crops, passing out, seasonal stuff needed for special task, limited forgeable spawning, business closed the next day, etc
@Kaldr, I can understand that. The only thing I felt I needed to rush was Abigail romance and getting the greenhouse. Other than that I took my time because I'm really good at planning ahead. It's never taken me a whole year to fix the community center (although I always lucked out with the caravan lady).
@18bluecat, man after my own heart lol. I’ll pick it up again at some point. Maybe try and limit my initial villager friendships, try and swear off none sprinkler farming for the most part. Try and be more casual about it as much as I don’t believe I will be able to stick by that.
@Kaldr, I wish there was a way to slow down the timescale. Honestly, that alone would make that game perfect in my eyes.
As it is, the days are just too short. I don’t play it to relax, which is why when I stall out I give up. I really want to try to reach perfection but it’s damn hard. I rarely make it to year 2.
My current run, I’m halfway through spring of year 2. I finished the CC in Winter, my skills are almost maxed out (combat is still at 9), mine is cleared, and I’m working on maxing out friendship with all of the villagers before I try to finish the skull caverns and Qi’s stuff before I even go to the island. Making most of my money passively through truffles, as well as ancient fruit wine through the greenhouse.
Fun tip, a very easy way to grind friendship with all of the villagers is parsnips. Pam loves them, and everyone likes them except for Sam, Jas, and Vincent. (Sam loves cactus fruit, and you can give Jas and Vin fruit). Grow them in massive amounts and give
everyone two a week, and you’ll be maxed out with them in two months.
Cooking all the recipes is a point that sometimes puts me off though. It’s a real grind.
Love the game, though.
@I Are Lebo, That Stardew reference hurts, I forgot Leah’s birthday…. Again 😞
Also, why can’t i hook up with Caroline?? I want that milf action and Pierre’s def a cuck
@Miss Leading, given that there are mods that allow you to murder villagers, I’m gonna go out on a limb and presume there’s a mod that lets you play as a homewrecker.
@I Are Lebo, seems like someone went out of their way to downvote each of your comments in this thread. Fk that guy. Here's some updates to counter that douchenozzle
@CT5555 Fives, thanks. It’s Owlrus98. The PoS downvotes every single one of my comments that he sees. Dunno why he’s being cunty about me but I doubt I’m the only user he downvote trolls.
@CT5555 Fives, honestly, his downvotes wouldn’t bother me half as much if he wasn’t a coward that never actually replies to any of my comments.
It doesn’t bother me if someone disagrees with me. Hell, it doesn’t even bother me if someone thinks me reprehensible for my point of view. But the non stop downvoting is just irritating.
As a side note, I love your username. “Good soldiers follow orders”
@I Are Lebo, understandable. Just ignore him. If ya let em know it gets to ya, then he wins. Stay strong soldier.
