There was actually a King Kamehameha in Hawaii
@Jabels, Yep. He actually united all the islands. Before him, each island had its own chief and was separately governed.
@Jabels, You ever been to Kamehameha Beach? Fun for the whole family.
@Jabels, there were six King Kamehamehas
@Jabels, ya there's a statue of him, just got back from Maui
@Jabels, I've actually been to that Avenue.
@Jabels, There's also the Kamehameha Elementary Education Program.
@Jabels, Yep, and I'm descended from him. No joke.
@SaidTheKoala, Haha it's a Simpsons reference.
@Jabels, can't you see he's the man, can I hear you applaud, he is more than a man, he's a shiny golden god!
The "Kamehameha School Choir" sang the songs featured in Lilo and Stitch.
Took Roshi 50 years to master it and even highways know how to do it now
@imthefruitbat , poor, poor master Roshi. He should've worked out more!!!!
@Anthony Horton, Do you even lift Master Roshi?
@imthefruitbat , If you think about it, master Roshi lives out on an island with a large flower shirt on... He's hawiian!
I would hate to live there. Imagine trying to sleep through them powering up for twenty minutes. I would tell them to stop but I'm just a lowly human :(
The only thing left is spirit bomb hotel
@ChronoTrigger, idk about you, but that sounds like a cool hotel to get BOMBED
I saw a statue of him in the old Congress building. Big bronze cast of him in his full glory.
Kamehameha actually translates into "Turtle Wave of Destruction". *the more you know*
@TheAlGoreSortOfHipie, In hawaiian, it translates to The Lonley One. King Kamehameha's name he got first was Pai‘ea, but it got changed because he was lonley on the fact there was no one that was 2 years older or younger than him.
@Hawaiian, Lets be friends. Hawaii for the win, right? ~ Someone living in Oahu.
I went to Kamehameha Schools. It was named after King Kamehameha nui (Kalani Mehameha)
A dragonball Z pic? Had to make a second account so I could rate if five stars twice.
Omg that's near where I live! It's on Maui I moved from ny a couple of weeks ago and was literally thinking the same thing in my head.
I'm actually surprised how many people here know about Kamehameha. In my experience, when people hear about Hawaii, they're astounded that we have Internet.
Yes but his name was pronounced king kaMAYhaMAYha
Hahaha I was there a couple days ago
I saw that street when I was there!!! Or maybe there's more than one...
I drove on this street when visiting Oahu
Everything when we had to sing the Hawaii state anthem in elementary school, all the boys would pretend to do the Kamehameha and we would get in trouble.
July 11, on this day in 1914, Babe Ruth made his debut in professional baseball
I was just in Hawaii, I drove on that road over 9000 times!
There's also a Likelike HWY :) pronounce 'lee-keh-lee-keh' tho
Hawaii's state insect is the kamehameha butterfly
Can you imagine, every time someone reads that sign out loud a massive beam of energy comes from their hands and destroys everything in their path.
am i the only one here who dosen't Watch dragonballs?
Hey I have a picture of that sign on my camera!
Lol I literally have to drive that road every day to school
I was in Honolulu this last spring break with my family and I actually got a picture of me in front of the famous (or maybe not) statue of King Kamehameha and I was totally in that stance. Accidentally shouted it too. Oh well. Thanks for reading.
I actually live on Kamehameha Hwy
And it's not just somewhere in Hawaii. Like half of the roads seem to be named Kamehameha.
Thats my street
Means turtle wave in the show and in hawai i know that it has to do with wave but idk if its the same
@Pulitar, kamehameha means the lonely one in Hawaiian.
@Hinanolaulii, thanks for the info
I'm such a b!tch.
Where do you think the dragonball z names came from. Kamameh
Charging up like KAMEHAMEHA
It's on the island Oahu, I've been there and on that road. I feel special XD
I actually went there this summer and took a picture of a stop sign with that street name on it.
I've been there!
...I think I know exactly where that spot is at...never going there again...unless the army tells me to...again...
@Moes Schrute, It is on the island of Oahu going through Honolulu.
That is a highway in Hawaii. I was waiting for this day for years.
This sign was in Honolulu, Oahu, I used to pass by this sign all the time!
Yeah... King Kamehameha is a big deal here. We have to learn about like three of them in school
