Everything is non superficial, relationship based on who a person is. In real life I have almost no guy friends, on the internet I only have guy friends. If something goes wrong or weird on the internet, I can just stop going to that website or ignore that person. I don't have to see them at school for 2 more years. I can't talk to attractive guys because I worry about scaring them away. My self esteem refuses to believe anyone would find me attractive.
